Hmm. There is a type of sunglasses designed to be worn over prescription glasses that wraps all around the field of vision and they come in different colors. I am not saying they would work for everybody, and I'm not saying that they might work for somebody. I just know these glasses exist because my mom wore them. Now if I could just think where she bought them from. I liked them, but they were too heavy for me along with my heavy glasses. I've had eye surgery since then and now wear much lighter glasses, so I could try those sunglasses again.

I was about to mention that, actually. :D I have a pair - I got them for free from the RNIB the same day I got given my lamp. Mine are dark purple (almost black) but they also had green. They are brilliant and I often wear them over my Irlen lenses. They completely get rid of all glare, it’s like being inside a peaceful bubble. I’d definitely suggest trying them out – especially for going outside.

i just wanted to know wether maybe this is a key to my problems, maybe the answer is that i think like an animal or at least see like an animal

No, animals behave like that only when they're scared, and NTs behave like aspies when they are scared too, the key is not animal, the key is fear. There is a part of Aspies' brain that got stuck into feeling scared 24/7. If you are curious, this part is called the reticular formation.

I wonder what would happen if you get a reticular formation transplant...

Dr. Temple Grandin's, Animals in Translation, discusses this stuff really well. It seems that what you are describing is experiencing stimuli in a fragmented way. You see something that frightens or alarms you, that's all you focus on. NTs have really effective filters that toss away "unimportant" information. They can actually miss important stuff because they aren't "expecting it".
