Emotional Intelligence is an arbitrary concept based on what makes NTs comfortable.
It's too bad they are naming these EQ because they will become confused with empathy quotient which is more pertinent to Asperger's. I can't take the other kind because I know what the right answer is and none of answers correspond with what I would do anyway.
