Ah, reading that, I think you should tell him about AS. If someone already feels like there's something wrong, discovering the cause probably won't be received as bad news. I have told a friend that he has AS and he reacted the same way I did; he was grateful to finally make sense of things.
What I'd recommend is linking him to the aspie quiz (http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php). If he has AS, the questions on that quiz will resonate with him. It helps to know that there are other people like you.

Indeed, you should have told us that he doesn't feel he belongs right from the start. There is a reason this site is called WrongPlanet, most of us feel more or less like aliens in the world of NTs. Knowing that he has Asperger's will finaly give him a place to fit in. I still hold to my previous replies though; you should be sure about what he has before telling him, and be sure to do this at a time where he feels at ease.

Strange how that worked out isn't it?

Thanks guys. I will tell him when I feel the moment is right. I will also have him take the aspie quiz - though I looked at the questions and he hits the mark on most of them. Andietheaspie: I saw your post about smiling; that Danes don't smile much. I saw a sixty minutes video about the world's happiest people last week and believe it or not it was the Danes. They even said it was ironic because they do not smile much or make any public contact at all. Sometimes wish I was an aspie too! lol
