In the mall or department stores, I have this fear of getting so anxious I freeze up and can't move and everyone's looking at me. When I'm walking down mall corridors, it's like I'm totally on display and I feel naked. Besides, in stores, the security guards keep following me around because they think all people that look like me (I'm black) steal. ![]()

In elemetery school I would freak over the noise of the cafeteria, and it was under a giant circus tent too.
I hate going to the mall, especially the food court because of the noise, and I have to try and read lips if I want to hear what someone says in there because my hearing problems make me deaf for all practical purposes when there is that much background noise.
Public transportation.
(there is not an angry looking enough smiley for this one) If there ever was a sign that there is a God in Heaven, it is that I have a reliable car and don't have to take the bus any more. It smells like unwashed ghetto people there's nothing wrong with being poor, but couldn't they at least take a shower?), it's dirty, it can be noisy, you may not want to be arund anybody much less someone as irritating as the person next to you or behind you, they bump into you and press against you, and due to OCD change your clothes when you get home and wash any skin not covered by your clothes, go eat something containing sugar and seretonin, and go do some preservating activity. I've had a license for 5 months now and I still bite people's heads off when they talk to me about taking the bus.
The gas station.
I get irritable after spending money on things I've been wanting for a long time much less dropping $40 on gas only to find I got just under 3/4 of a tank. I've been asked why I get so pissed of about gas when I get partially subsized for it, and it's because it's another major germaphobe/OCD trigger. To help with that, I keep a bottle of alcohol based antibacterial lotion in my car.
Cars nearby with subwoofers way to loud as well as any other type of loud music with a distorted base. There are certain anomalies in the frequency, that I pick up on and nobody else seems to notice and I have to work really hard to suppress the urge to act out aggressively if I'm around it too long.
Is that in the dictionary?
In a bavarian beer tent with too many people talking loud, shouting, clinking (I hope this is the right word, my english isn't that good
) their glasses and in the background some really bad bavarian folk music.
This is the worst place I can currently think of to be. There might be worse places though. ![]()

*shudders* I was lucky enough to get special consideration for my VCE exams which included getting to sit in a small room without the rest of my class... only problem is that I had to have a superviser in the room too! Still, she wasn't too terrible, and somehow I managed to tune out to the rustling of pages as she was reading a novel. But ACK for any sort of coughing/sneezing/sniffing/blowing/bodily function noises! Ack! *feels sick*
Oh, and Sean, CLEARLY a busy food eaty place is the correct dictionary definition, as it includes not only restaraunt, but pub!

We must live in the same city and not know it.
Better be glad you're not a girl trying to ride on a bus with a bunch of men who smell (and look) like they havn't taken a bath in months. And why is it I always encounter perverts or ugly -a** men flirting while riding or waiting for a bus? Not one single man fit for any single woman with standards.
I got a job that's 25 miles from home and worried about the looong bus ride I'd have to take. Luckly, a co-worker whom it turned out was living a few blocks from me, wanted me to car pool so we split the cost of gas each week. Thank God for that miracle.
