YMBAAI on seeing the post above, you began to read through said thread for the third time.

I'm guilty of quite a few of these!

YMBAAI you missed 1 or more meal while doing something related to your special interest and didn't realize it OR if you look at something "just for a minute" and when you look up you realize you need to be up in an hour for school. (guilty of both)

You see a picture of a cat in Cat Fancy and you smile because it looks like one of your own kitties!

You like Roger Bannister and Sagwa, The Chinese Siamese Cat, and you're 43 years old.

In fifth grade, you read Hemingway and Steinbeck, and yet you just learned to tie your shoes a year before.

You finish all of the crosswords and word puzzles in the newspaper, plus any other puzzles you can get your hands on.

YMBAAI:
-At 3 years of age, you have a panic attack because you read the clock on the wall as being 3:00pm when it was really 12:15pm and you and Mum should have been home by 2.

-When your science teachers get stuck, they ask you.

-You are willing to endure at LEAST 10 years of Uni just because it's all going to be about your special interest.

-You have at least 10 times the number of friends online thatn you do in real life.

-You've stared at the person next to you for at least 5 minutes, and they're obviously uncomfortable and looking at you strangely, but when they ask why you have no real answer but: "Sorry, I spaced out."

-The highlight of your month is going to a disco where the vast majority of participants have an IQ under 60.

-You've spent every lunchtime at school for the past 4 years in the school library.

You hide around the hedge to avoid talking to neighbors...YMBAA.

Your wardrobe is based on what doesn't itch and comes in only 2 colors...YMBAA.

Your 41 and you have a more extensive video game collection than any of the local kids...YMBAA.

You have more than 4 vacuum cleaners and only a 5 room house....YMBAA

stuff that has actually happened to me...


...You can remember the entire Periodic Table of the Elements but can't remember if you took your meds for the day.

...You know how to conjugate verbs in the pluperfect subjunctive.

...After your diagnosis, you're suddenly able to pick out other aspies at work or school. It's like 'Aspiedar.'

...your friend who lives five hours away comes from a visit, and your fun evening is sitting next to each other on the couch and IMing each other and sending links
...you have to be restrained to keep from bolting out of stores when shopping in groups, because there are too many choices
...you have multiple remixes of the same song and love to play them over and over
....your co-workers point and snicker, but won't go near the fun jobs you get just because you are there
...you take your lunch breaks at odd times to avoid co-workers and unnecessary conversation

That was me as a kid, sort of...

And by the way:
You might be an aspie if you're a woman but not able to multitask (even when all the "smart" guys tell you that you "ought to" be able).

The funny thing is that I could've included most of the things posted here.
