What do Aspies have that Nt's don't?

You see 'Aspergers' doesn't get in the way of your life, if you think that then you are not understanding yourself and are on the wrong foot forward. First rule Accept then Learn.

Everyone has struggles within, depending on their individual make-up genetically, people with aspergers probably have more to understand and to cope with in this world, as we view the world independently, with regular people who we describe as NT face different challenges and motives to us Aspies.

You are what you are, like every human being, each with different traits and struggles, the key to living is understanding yourself better.

You will possess some fine positives in comparison with NTs!!

The first thought that comes to my mind of what we have that NTs seem to lack that we all seem have an unpretentious social appearance.

Genetic diversity is good. Neurodiversity is good. Society needs people who are less likely to be mob ruled, to see things differently, to be able to research at a different angle.
For myself, I find that I fit into foreign societies much better than most NTs because I have practiced so long at trying to figure out the social rules (that I did not automatically absorb) that I can do it in any society without feeling dislocated, or at least, not any more dislocated than I am in my own middle-class American society. It turns out that I am useful in Rwanda because of my specialized interests and love of researching everything I can about specific topics. I have my whole life studied gardening and ecology, and have found a people who don't mind being overwhelmed by my going on and on about gardening because gardening is how they live, and they would like to find a better way to live.

Being aspies, we know that we are different fron NT's. We take pride in our unique strengths, rather than dwell upon our weaknesses. It's comforting to talk about the advantages we have over NT's. Sure we could specifically, focus on our weaknesses, but what fun would that be?

In my opinion, we are all equal. For every strength, there is a weakness to keep it in check, and vice-versa.

What is normal, anyway?

I take pride in my unique strengths and interests.

Alternate perspective and manner of thinking. While an NT might make certain connections that we don't, we might make connections an NT would miss.

It kinda depends on the aspie.

For me I think what makes me different is I'm able to focus deeply on the problem at hand and really look at the world at a much deeper level than ordinary people. particularly with my special interest which happens to be computers.

I'm always coming at problems for a totally different angle than most other people and I think it give me an edge.

If i didn't have AS I don't think I could have taught myself the skills I have today and would likely be stuck at a dead end
working in some fast food restaurant the rest of my life. If I hadn't spent most of my childhood reading and learning obsessively I don't think I would have learned much except maybe how to become a good criminal like the kids I grew up with.

Stronger focus. More interest in "intellectual" things as opposed to mundane social crap most people enjoy.

First of all, AS doesn't get in the way of you're life, it is a way of life. You can't get rid of the AS without changing you, and it'll only get in your way if you let it. ou have to manifest the strengths and deal with the weaknesses.

And what do Aspies have that NTs don't? I've been working on this in my mind for a bit.

Resistance to peer-pressure
Knowledgable about our interests ((Have you met an Aspie that ISN'T?))
Intelligence
Hard-working
Solid ((we don't bother with what's unnecessary.))
Better perception. ((I'll bet you five bucks I can hear a pin drop on the wood table in the other room while you're talking to me.))
