Actually, I don't have Asperger's syndrome. I have high functioning autism and yes, you can have schizophrenia and autism at the same time. Not Asperger's though. It says in the DSM IV that if you have delusions or hallucinations for a period of time on top of the autism, you can be diagnosed with both. How sad is that?

You can actually have AS and schizophrenia at the same time; it says so in the DSM-IV-TR.

Quote:
By definition the diagnosis is not given if the criteria are met for any other specific Pervasive Developmental Disorder or for Schizophrenia (although the diagnosis of Asperger's Disorder and Schizophrenia may coexist if the onset of the Asperger's Disorder clearly preceded the onset of Schizophrenia)(Criterion F).

I was 0.5 mg of Risperidone (Did you spell it right? Because I think it was slightly different), and it worked for 6 years, until I developed low blood pressure and lost a lot of eyesight.

I was on 20mg of Citalopram, but i've been told to stop taking it, as its not doing anything except make me anxious and wake up in the middle of the night and be tired during the day.
