I'm instintively introverted, but have become more and more extroverted as I have gotten older. Self-esteem and confidence as well as Toastmasters training has helped a great deal.

I am a extrovert. I love talking to people, when I do talk I tend to control the conversation to the point of just monologing at times. I do this partly because it is just who I am. Partly because if I am alone I will over-analize myself to the point of almost going crazy :? So I need that stimulous to stop me from becoming completely self-obsorbed(spelling). I also think it is a little bit of a stim because I talk to myself all the time to.

One test I took placed me squarely between the two extremes, although I consider myself more of a focused introvert.

Every test I take places me in the middle, and leaning torwards introversion. And that sounds about right.

It's a bit weird asking a bunch of aspies if they're introverted or extroverted.

The majority of us would be introverted by NT standards with only our "weirdness" making us seem extroverted.

I think that if this was redefined in an aspie sense, we'd get a more even spread.

Definitely introvert with periods of extrovert exploration.

Very introverted, but I have quite short talkative moments.

I'm extroverted but I'm more reserved and quiet than I used to be. I'm still pretty loud though.

Depends on who you ask. Some people will tell you that I'm extremely extroverted.

Other people would say the complete opposite.

Only thing I can figure is that it has something to do with my cyclothymia (lesser form of bipolar). I've always considered myself extroverted until I had several friends point out that at times, I was extremely introverted.

So I literally don't know.

On the Myers-Brigg test I come out as ENFJ. I took the test twice and the second time, my E went down to 3 (borderline) and my J went up to mid-range. Who knows. Those guys said that you weren't supposed to be just one or the other anyways, but instead find some kind of balance.

How does everyone else come across on introversion vs. extraversion?

Why don't you try to define these terms? Do you think them absolutes? Is there only one form of "introversion"?

The one consistent thing on every personality test I have taken is that I always score as a heavy introvert.

I'm definitely an extrovert, pretty much all the time. I can't remember ever being an inward kind of person.
