AS: Next evolutionary step

Who cares about today's environment. All I'm asking for is if someone had read and can direct me to that article I'm asking about. I have great pride in the fact that I'm not neurotypical, and I don't care to indulge in theories on genes and the like. I KNOW my AS has nothing to do with my genetic makeup and I won't be called fascist by some forbannad Svenskar.

Who cares about today's environment? The agents that are living in it. For something to go "forward" in evolution, it must be more "fit", IE, it must do a better job at surviving and replicating in the current environment. That's how evolution works.

A 'forbannad Svenskar" is a damned Swede, och vist kan jag prata och forstor bettra an du tro min van. All i want is someone to give me a link to an article. and not have some uppity social-democrat tell me I'm a fascist.

Um... I'm guessing you haven't had much formal education in evolutionary theory, have you? This is even more pathetic than ideas of a "master race." If it has nothing to do with genes, it is not evolution. You, from what I can tell, seem to have some kind of bizarre Lamarckian view of evolution. To claim that we are superior to NTs is just a load of bull. We bring some valuable things to the table, and our existence benefits society, but I doubt the world would run if it were all Aspie. And the fact that we are not the majority, does not mean that we are not partially responsible for the world's ills, or that we can scapegoat "NTs" as the root of all evil.

If you study evolution at all, it will become abundantly clear that Asperger's is not "the next stage" of human evolution. To claim that we are "better people" than NTs is just reverse bigotry. We have our good points and our bad points, as do NTs, and both kinds are necessary to make the world go round. Within both groups, there are good people, bad people, and people in between (I would consider myself in the last category).

You know what they say, "Not all evolution is good evolution."

How can evolution be good or bad?

Evolution makes little experiments, if they work then they flourish, if not they die out. It's like gladiators in an arena. So Aspergers could have somthing to do with evolution, but is it the next step? Or just another failed evolutionary experiment?

No. A "next step" simply does things differently. It is then selected against, and if it thrives, then it could be called better.

Aspergers probably won't replace the current "human model" or die out. We have our place in the hive as do most others. I think many great inventors had Aspergers because obsessive thought patterns lead to thourogh understanding.
