On the other hand, I did make it through 7 years of marching band; so there is some coordination within me, just not in the usual context.

Other things though, like painting or Playing DDr... I rule. I can paint with both hands going in different directions or manners. I play doubles of ddr... With both mats. So it is sort of dependant of the situation.

I'm the same way. When I walk, I look drunk. I have good handwriting tho.

And I also do doubles on DDR.

I am not good with balls - always last to be chosen for ball games at school (I would tend to dodge when the ball came towards me) although I did teach myself to juggle - it was a bit of an interest at one time, but never got to juggle more than 3 balls very well. Apart from that I am not particularly uncoordinated. Apparently I walk in a certain way though which I share with my (Aspie) cousin. I have very good fine coordination - I have to do a lot of disecting for my job and have very steady hands.

I am the clumsiest guy EVER.

I swear to you that my mortal enemy on this Earth are door latches. I am catching myself on one many times daily. All day. Every day. All week long. All year, since I was old enough to wear jeans.

I have ruined an unthinkably large amount of jeans because I snag them on door latch plates.

There are two kinds of people: those who can pat the top of their heads while rubbing their bellies in a circular
motion and those who cannot.... I do not belong to the first group.

Now raise your right foot off the floor and move it in a clockwise circular motion and with your right hand draw the figure six
in the air at the same time.....

I actually am very competent in terms of motor skills, but I had a lot of developmental delay there. I couldn't even jump in preschool!

I think my problem wasn't related to AS, but rather to the fact I was born with an umbilical cord around my neck. My child development prof told me that having the cord around the neck will often cause developmental delay with the motor skills.

I could always swim reasonably well but got really good later in life. I also played baseball and basketball once I got older. Nowadays I work out and run. My handwriting is good only when I try--but I can write with both hands.

By the time I was 14 I was on par or better than my peers in terms of motor skills, it just took me a little longer to get there.

I do have an odd gait, I look like I'm limping, and my right knee is very double jointed, but the only thing this makes hard for me is finding shoes--I need flat-soled shoes to walk comfortably. (Reebok Classics are about all I can wear).

My fine motor skills are fine, and I grew up doing martial arts which always helps, buuuuuut... nevertheless, I remain a rather clumsy young woman. I'm pigeon-toed, which is fine until I trip over paving stones all the time. I do it at least 6 times a day. Or until I get tired and my feet reeeeally start to turn in - I'm conscious of it so make an effort to turn them out straight and normal, but if I get tired or drunk they're back way inwards, which looks odd. I also have good days and bad days with all else - I'm notorious for putting glasses down on a table half-on and half-off, and then watching as they crash to the ground. Or knocking over glasses of red wine (they don't let me near the bottle when we're drinking!). Or just knocking things over in general. And walking into furniture and then hopping around the room cursing and making an idiot of myself while everyone else looks on in amusement. Right now I'm nursing 3 bruised toes and a bent-back finger from walking into two chairs and a sofa over the course of today, and once trying to pick something up but just missing and slamming my finger straight-on into it instead.

Ah well! I s'pose at least it's amusing for other people to watch...

yes i'm a bit clumsy but my hypermobility syndrom might also contribute to this, i always seem to bump into things and i will fall fast if someones pushes or shoves me due to inproper balance

In school I was really horrible athleticly...My short tendons from my uncorrected toe walking made it really hard for me to run...While I was still growing, I always had really painful foot problems and was always terrible at sports...i always missed at kickball..and volleyball and any kind of game you could think of......AND...I drop things, bump into things, spill things....I have often spazzed out and spilled my glass of ice water all over the table...You would think I had telekenisis by the way silverware will fly out of my hands...

I guess that would be gross motor skills.

Granted I was alot more sedentary than I shoulda been as a kid...physical activity was just so frustrating...i liked swimming and bike riding and I would practice shooting hoops over and over again

My fine motor skills are somewhat better, but still clumsy to a degree....I do alot of hand sewing, but my stiches are still pretty clunky and not very uniform or graceful.

I can pat my head and rub my stomach though.

I was very clumsy in school, I couldn't play sports seriously without getting hurt. But now I'm pretty graceful though I still drop things on a daily basis.

I have a lousy sense of balance (which is why I've never learned to ride a bike), I drop things, I bump into furniture, I stumble over my own feet... yes, I'm very clumsy.

I was pretty clumsy and un-coordinated growing up. Couldn't ride a bicycle until about 10 yo and didn't rollerskate until middle high school. Then I got into a training session with a "bugs and roots" outfit while in Europe in the Army and was introduced to Tai Chi. I centered the flow movements into my every moment movements and that helped much.

Having broken my back and thus having permanently a numb right leg didn't help a lot, however. :D

Quite clumsy. But when I take some time I can do things any ways, otherwise it is my perseverance that either makes it happen or wrecks it completely. But I started to accept it a few years ago.

I got government funded laptops when I was in school and university, so writing was not a problem (a laptop was really expensive a few years ago). I even got the necessary skills for the biochemistry lab, but it took a lot of evenings and broken stuff. But with some good planning of my work space I can get around.

Nowadays I work with a IT company, so my motor skills are only a problem with hot chocolate and keyboards (I wrecked a keyboard).

Household can be done, but takes a lot of time. But now I am considering hiring someone for cleaning. I could pay it out of my wages. It would take away some of my last frustrations with my motor skills.
