I once visited my sister, who has a grandchild of about 6. She adored me, because I got down on the floor with her and made up stories about her toys, and made them have adventures. Toys are so cool!

Well I still like to play in parks if the opportunity arises. I love swings and slides, always will.

I also loved ball pits. The combination of the pressure and coolness of the balls was soothing. :)

If you decide to do this then you can come back with another post about how it sucks to have your neighbors think that you are a pervert. 8O It may not happen that way, but if it does expect at least a few "I told you so" comments to come your way. If you think its worth it then go for it.

No it's not wrong to want to, but it IS wrong to actually do it without a good excuse.

Why?

I don't do it because I'm too big and might break something, and there is no excuse that would make that untrue. I wish I could, especially if there are tubes and not just balls. I would like it if they made them for adults.

I still use normal playgrounds, but so do NTs so I think this is a near-universal desire.

I never understood the purpose or point of playgrounds as a child - and still do not. Except for rocking slowly on the swing - but now I know why I did that!

I have often thought the same thing. Then I went to Berkeley, CA and discovered that there is at least one adult playground there! And it's right in the middle of town! I'm going to look for more of them now that I'm in the Bay Area.

You could buy a McDonald's toy that you like, instead. That's what I do.

If you have young nieces or nephews go to McDonald with them to supervise them in the ball pit.
That way you get to play and people won't look at you the wrong way.

Mum2ASDboy, good idea!

I also like Poopy's homemade ideas with the balls and playpen. Or if you can afford it, you can get some good outdoor play equipment from allchildrensfurniture.com or amazon.com or even target or walmart.
