If you could choose a planet, which one would you live on?

Gliese 581 c

It's the only known extrasolar planet that could theoretically support human life. Of course it could also be as bad as Venus, so it's a bit of a gamble I think.

Gliese 876 d might not be as bad, but it's gravity would be rather high (but not unbearable).

Of course there might be a lot of earthquakes on both of these choices.... but it would still be cool to live on an extrasolar planet. :D

At first I thought Mars because I like drinking, but it turns out Mars bars are just little pieces of chocolate.

Mercury is pretty hot right now, but it's got absolutely no atmosphere.

Venus is out too - I just can't work under pressure.

Neptune makes me feel blue, Uranus is too smelly, and Pluto has gone to the dogs.

All in all, I feel most strongly drawn to Jupiter. 8)

Wow, you put a lot of time into that.

One of the minor planets, like Ceres, nice low gravity, nice commuting distance to Mars or Jupiter every few years

Me too. They have treacle mines there; that's reason enough to live there.

I wouldn't want to live on another planet. I would want to live on the sun.

I'll settle for this one since we have everything on it already and I am too old to be digging foundations and laying bricks.

I like these questions where I don't have to
think too hard about the answer :)
