I have close bonds with friends. I'm fairly close to my husband. However, I do know that he sometimes thinks that I'm not trusting of him. I feel like I trust him with my whole world, he feels like I don't trust him. I'm closer to him than I've been to alot of other men I've been intimate with. It took a long time to get to this point, but we're here.

He still says he feels far away from me sometimes, but usually when I'm working on a project.

I have an extremely close bond with my boyfriend. I want to spend alot time with him, and he wants to spend alot of time with me, as well. He is actually one of the few people I will make eye-contact with. And every single day, I love him even more. I can just sit in his arms all day.

A resounding yes.

In fact, when I myself make a bond, it is never forgotten. If I love someone enough to have bonded with them, we can go years and years without speaking and meet up and it is like no time has passed.

I either am very very very close with someone, or could care less. I have no casual friends.

Good article and I guess sadly I can identify with it.

My ex was the type that always needed a confirmation of togetherness...(not sure how to word that).

If we were out together I should have been holding his hand, if we were sitting in the room together I should have been sitting right next to him. I loved him very much, but I just don't have that "constant on" feature...honestly it was stressful being with someone who did.

I need "alone time"....it's time where I can relax and not have to worry about what I say or do and how it will affect someone else. Out of all my relationships over the years that has always been a problem...if I needed time alone I either "didn't care" or I was "seeing someone else"...which was far from the case. The more I withdrew...needing to recharge...the more the other person usually pushed for more until things usually just broke down.

I think men may have it easier in that aspect (not all do though)...they are often encouaraged to go fishing, go hunting, go ride the quad...etc...take a break..a woman is often looked at "you need to be alone?...whatever the heck for?"

How or why do you think people expect this from women? We're humans too. It's a puzzle.
