This applies to me as well. I prefer short exchanges of information if I'm forced to deal with people at work. Would rather they email me.

It actually makes me scream inside to have to sit and listen to most people. I think it all comes down to something I like to call 'input, parameters undefined'....

I can't watch TV anymore without the subtitles on. It helps me to tune out the audio stimulation.

I get both too! I hate it. The worst pain is whe. My mother is slightly upset to angry. She has no volume control and her voice is high enough when shes not yelling/screaming. Then my dad joins in in the yelling match, and the combo makes me insaine. I go hide in my room and sit in the dark. Sometimes they follow me. That sucks.

The migraines like those stopped when I stopped eating dairy wheet and sugar. Its a awkard diet, but I get other symptons too that are highly indesiresnle if I eat them. : (
For me, I think a hampayer would win hands down in an intelligence contest when I have one of those migraines. It really sucks.

Conversations that last too long give me headaches. Often the next day, after socializing, I'd have a migraine.
When my mother yelled at me when I was a kid, I'd go into my room and cover my ears. One time she discovered me doing this (I didn't hear her enter the room) and I got punished for that.

Some days, when I'm in a good mood, it's not too bad, but days I'm not in a good mood, I'm very sensitive to sound. Especially if it's voices of people I don't like much, you know, or just strident, sharp, shrill voices. That actually hurts my ears. I can feel my eardrums crinkle.
