I read newspapers and watch the news but
I think it's mainly driven by my interest in
history and geography rather than the
subject matters themselves.Today's news
will one day be part of our history.Although
I must admit I usually start newsapers
at the Sports pages first, then the cartoons
and Tv before actually reading the news.

I only read the paper regularly. I don't bother with the TV or radio much.

My wife has politely asked me to stop watching network news since I have a tendency to argue with and demean the newsreaders. (I refuse to allow them to be classified as journalists).

I do watch CNBC Squawk Box because I like the logic and the graphics are awesome.

I read the paper every morning as part of my rutine, there are some funny stories of human stupidity every now and again.

I have no TV and dont like to buy newspapers as I then feel obliged to read every single bit of it and that takes far too long. However, I do like the BBC website. It is my lunchtime ritual at work whilst eating - first international news, then UK national news, then science and health. I can also spend a long time reading the opinions on the 'hear your say's. It does mean I miss out on French national news a bit which is a shame, but I havent found a french equivalent of the BBC that I like. When I used to live in the UK, the 7pm Channel 4 news was the only regular thing I would watch on TV. I didnt like the other news programmes much - I got used to the style of that one and the presenters, to the extent where my (ex) husband would joke that I fancied that particular newsreader (not true!).

I used to follow the news, then I realized that it was only making me more depressed and upset, and that 90% didn't pertain to me anyway. If it's really important, I will know about it. People are amazed when they find out that I don't watch the news and only occasionally get a newspaper. Because they want to know how it is that I know what is going on. Well, I do read a lot (like obsessively), and I do glance at the headlines when I am at the supermarket and I have Internet, but most of it doesn't interest me, like the election. My attitude towards that is like Benjamin the Donkey in Animal Farm, "Life goes on regardless--badly." I guess I was unconsciously reducing the sensory overload in my life before I even knew what that was.

I can not watch the news and/or read them, I always end up screaming about the idiotic politicians (yes, corruption and brainlessness exists in probably any country)... I skim certain RSS feeds though

Otherwise, except for seeing the weather forecast, i'm not really that interested.

That's also the way that I like to watch the news. Other than that, I can't be bothered.

I only really watch the local news if I hear about something that happened near where I live and want to find out more.

And sometime during commericals of another show I'll flip to CNN.

Mostly online versions of newspapers when I'm idle at work.

I never really cared - it's the same things coming back in different forms. . . always.
I already know the goverment is run by corrupt and incompetent scum - I don't need 25 examples of it every week.

Also fishy biases and journalists that have no idea what they aren talking about are annoying.

I sometimes watch the news but it's always the same thing, so it gets kind of boring.

I never ever watch the news, its depressing and horrid and I don't like it.
But I do read the BBC news site once a day, I skim the front page news to make sure there's nothing that is going to interrupt or effect my routine and that no one has died and then I skip to technology and entertainment.
