I had five children, three of them grown and gone before I discovered I had Asperger's. And then I realized my middle son has it. All I knew was that people called me weird and I never could figure out why.

We are eccentric, people just call us weird. It's semantics, but makes me feel closer to average (1 in 150) instead of out on the fringe (1 in 10,000).
