Do your either of your parents have an ASD?

Not that I know of but my Dad's cousin has sceriena.

I suspect both my parents have ASD. My mom to a lesser degree.

My dad has AS and his sister some traits...she insisted that the vegetable soup was to be drained every time they had it and because she was the eldest she got her way, with her brothers having liquid instead of soup

None of my parents have AS, but Autism, introversion, and mathematical ability run in my mom's side of the family. My maternal grandfather, who was an accountant, most likely had AS; he was very quiet, stimmed, hated small talk, and was very picky with his food; he also loved math and physics in an aspie obsession sort of way. My relatives often comment how similar I am to my grandfather. I have an aunt with LFA, and a great aunt (who was also an accountant) who I suspect has AS.

My father has AS, undiagnosed, but suspected from doctors. He refuses to accept it. I have nothing to do with him anyway so I don't care.

i suspect my dad has AS, he has obsessive and repetitive behaviour normally expressed though his hobby of stamp collecting, he can only speak about things he has a interest in, has narrow interests, cant express his emotions well, gets annoyed when he cant do his stamps. he has also mentioned to me that he finds organising his stamp collection to be very relaxing.

although my mum has mentioned that there is some autism on her side of the family. *shrugs*

My father has a lot of ADD traits. My paternal grandmother probably has Asperger's syndrome.

dad is aspie [in his sixties,and through choice undiagnosed],and according to sister [a councilor and pysch. expert],mum is not on the spectrum but fits various mental illnesses and pds-she has hallucinations for example,she sees people sat in trees trying to speak to her.
mum says she thinks her sister has as,and her sisters son has it to,she has always gone on about him being 'slow' when she didnt know what as was,and her sister does seem like an aspie the more am hear about her.
am have lf classic autism [and an informal sub category of explosive autism] from dads side as his brother is aspie and his other brother [NT] has a autie son as well.
sister is also aspie,though undiagnosed like dad,neither of them want it though are aspie enough to get it.

I think my parents are more likely carriers with some traits, maybe on the spectrum but so far up they don't/didn't need a diagnosis to get help. I don't know much about my fathers side of the family. But I'd say I most likely got it from my mom's side. My grandmother told me I had family that were like me, I've just never met them because they don't leave their homes to go to family functions.

There are traits floating all around my family, on both sides, but I don't think my parents are really on the spectrum anywhere. They're both fairly good socially, my dad's a little bit introverted and can't stand crowds, but I've never noticed him doing anything I'd really call stimming.

When I told my mom I had it, she said I must have it mild, because I have a second cousin who has autism, and "he's in his own little world", she says. My grandmother has a few traits, she thinks she has RLS (restless leg syndrome) and she didn't learn to drive until her late 30s I think, and still doesn't really drive.
