I only cry when girls break up with me

Not counting when I was a child...one time I fell off my bike and hurt myself, and I waited until I got to the house to cry. My dad asked why, and I said "You couldn't here me from over there." =D

Not crying is unhealthy.

Won't say I can't, but it only happens about once a year.

The weird thing is that it sometimes happens for odd reasons (like a non-sad movie).

I used to almost never cry, even when a person died. I would only cry when I saw an animal being hurt because I love animals and I'm not sure why I cried for them, but not my friends or family. I remember the first time I really cried about a person dying was when I lost my Grandmother (when I was 22). I was very close to her. As I got older, I started to cry more for various reasons. Now it takes a lot for me to really cry, but I cry a little bit fairly easily. For example, if I see a sad movie I will cry a little, but I won't have that many tears. However, if things get very overwhelming for me and I get depressed, I will cry a lot. That hasn't happened for quite a while though, a fact I am obviously glad about.

I cry everyday!

There is no shame in doing so, and if you can't there is no shame in it either. It's actually healthy to cry everyday, because then you will feel better afterwards...

At least, that's what I think

Sublime, I was going to post this same thread. I used to cry more when I was a kid and an adolescent because hormones were all out of wack, and I had to take medication. Now it rarely happens, and if it does it's just a few tears. Even that is happening less and less as I mature. If people see it as cold than it's their problem. It is also very possible to go into deep depressions with no tears. I've done this.

Even when I was 5, I didnt even feel any emotion at my primary caregivers death, (my Grandfather as my Mother had given me away).

What does make me cry though is the film "Dancer in the Dark", with Buork.
Or the end scene of Paris Texas.

Its like I can feel deep emotion for the suffering of others, but nothing for myself.

I never really cry. Last time I cried, I was insanely homesick at college ( I've always been very prone to homesickness though, so nothing new).

My great Grand-Dad died a few months back and never cried.

Some times I wish I cried easier.

Is there something wrong with me (besides the obvious)?

Seems on the surface that you learned to detach yourself emotionally at an early age or else your ASD has had the effect of severely limiting your external emotional responses. Honestly, I have no idea. Interesting case, though.

I build everything up until I can't help but cry, and I can't stop crying for hours on end...

Do you get numb? Because that's my replacement for tears whenever I'm extremely depressed or stressed out

I get numb sometimes, but also when I'm extremely depressed I have this overwhelming sense of despair. The feelings are all locked up on the inside, and no tears will come no matter if I want them to. I've since accepted it and found my own ways of expressing myself. Oh by the way it's nice to see you back on here, EBEC11.

I cry a lot. I cry when people tell me bad things that have happened to them. I cry about sad things in the news. I cry out of frustration when I get lost (although then I also scream and curse). I've cried through almost every performance review I've ever had (totally embarrassing). As a kid I would always cry on the last day of school or camp, and I cried during the last meetings with both psychologists I worked with (I also used to frequently cry during regular sessions).

I cry quite easily. I often have trouble listening or watching news on some conflict or natural disaster because if anything involving suffering kids comes up I'll be in tears.
