Are you actually that much of a homophobe???

(Sorry, I knew you were homophobic but I didn't think you'd actually skip someone's posts because of it. Geeze. I don't skip yours and I hate Conservative Republicans.)

Then again, it's not that big of a mental leap to assume that Bec might be short for Rebecca.

I suppose it isn't. My name is Rebecca. I am usually only called Rebecca at school or by people who don't know me well, though. All my family, friends, and a few acquaintances call me Bec.

Well what you fancy or what you want to be can be part of who you are.

I think that a person's avatar can be whatever he or she likes as long as it isn't offensive.

I can't be stuffed to do all the techno fiddling to put a piccie as my avatar, so I just got one that looks 'remotely' like me from the WP gallery. That's all. But I personally ADORE Pyraxis' avie.

Dej,
I happen to like Ryan Gosling. That's why he's my avatar selection. If I had a picture of myself I was comfy in using, I would.

My avatar is a railroad logo, so I don't know how there is something to complain about. But on a side note, in a lot of foreign languages where nouns have gender (like Spanish), their word for "railroad" has a feminine gender. (such as "la ferrocaril" in Spanish)

The secondary sexual characteristics of ravens - and most other birds in the Corvae family - are indestinguishable, so there is no way you could tell if my avartar is a boy crow or a girl crow, unless you have a painstaiking examination. But really you can't because it is only an illustration, and besides, would the artist(s) really care if s/he is a s/he.

Anyway, although my avartar seems sexually ambiguous, it is very easy for me to tell whether I am a male or female.

*looks under pants*

Yep, I'm a guy
