I find that correlation between percentile and IQ score a bit odd; not sure how they are doing it.
I got percentile 95 at a real life raven iq test when I was 11 or 12 - my iq should be towards 130 (though not wildly above that figure).
I score a bit higher in online raven tests.

Gracias por realizar el Test...

Estos son tus resultados:

Nombre: brian
Edad: 30
Respuestas correctas: 57/60
Percentil: 95
Cociente Intelectual: Muy superior al término medio
Rango: I
IQ: 134

I did it in a rush.. time has nothing to do with it. Every answer worth 2 points and 140 is tops.

Those Raven tests are meaningless. Any IQ test that's not time is meaningless.

try:

its supposed to be a proper iq test, and it is timed.
it's what they use for testing the nations iq as part of a yearly tv programme on bbc.

The language doesn't matter. You aren't supposed to even get instructions for the test, so it could actually be making it more accurate.

My score, 130. With the way the scores seem to be scattering around here, that is probably equivalent to an average IQ. I'd be very interested in the brain of the person who scored 30, though. That's a really a big gap between verbal and visual.... wow.

I took it again; this time, some of the ones I drew a blank stare at yesterday, I got today. I guess my concentration was better today (it took around 30-40 minutes, like yesterday).

That's common for individuals with Autistic Disorder, the splintered cognitive pattern (albeit, it's more common to have a higher IQ in visual than verbal for Autistic Disorder, but everyone is different).

The friendly DSM:
Quote:
The profile of cognitive skills is usually uneven, regardless of the general level of intelligence, with verbal skills typically weaker than nonverbal skills.

Since it's a "non-verbal" test, the language is irrelevant. Figuring out what they want you to do is part of the test!

I was wondering if it was timed too, since I was at work & therefore unable to concentrate fully (i.e. even though I scored full marks, I would have done so much quicker under "exam conditions"!)

I got interrupted in the middle of the test for about 45 minutes(!) so it can't be timed. Interesting though that the high score possible then would be 140 -- isn't the highest possible IQ score 200?

Yeah, what does "O Mayor" mean - "Maximum score" or "at least"?

Ah ha, bablefish says it means "or more" -- so 140 would be a minimum. Which would make sense come to think of it -- if a person tops out there'd need to be more questions for them to eventually start getting wrong.

There's another Raven test for people who score high.

I'm going to take it again when I'm in one of my "smart" moods; 110 whilst listening to music, and somewhat overwhelmed, 130 when I turned the music off; I'll see if I can get higher.

Supposedly, individuals with Autistic Disorder are supposed to score higher on this than the "standard" ones that involve verbal ability (I think some jumped 30 points when given this, which meant some weren't mentally ret*d, it's just that their verbal ability is poor. Like some from a different country taking a verbal heavy IQ test who don't have the same understanding of the language the test is written in compared to those who are natives).

People with Asperger's "should" score similar on this one compared to the verbal IQ ones.
