I still think it sounds like PDD-NOS. If your brother otherwise meets the criteria for being on the spectrum. (Rituals, social interactions issues and so on.)

PDD-NOS can be atypical AS, atypical classical, an atypical mix of both and all other non-'average' development of children that doesn't fit a specific set of criteria to a T.
