Yes, it all seems a bit strange to me too. Every other week there seems to be a new theory linking Autism to something or other. I take them all with a pinch of salt now. It's just interesting to see what the next will be...

Pyrethrins aren't just used in pet shampoos, they're used in plenty of other insect repellents, including insect repellent sprays and creams, candles, plant sprays, etc.

If anything in shampoo is going to be truly problematic you'd be better off looking at the sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, parabens, TEA, DEA, petrochemicals, etc etc...

Either way I'm sure none of the above has much to do with autism.
