Has anyone ever fallen for this kind of stuff?
I didn't understand the concept of teasing when I was younger at all. I thought they were serious, I reacted very emotionally, and I was just teased more. I also can't tell very well when someone is joking.
Specifically, I remember beleaving an uncle when he said white butterflies fly to the moon, and in elementary school some kids convinced me to go around yelling "I am not a virgin"

Hah, when I was ten I was told to go around yelling "sexual intercourse".

This particularly reminded me of a tease related by the late Harpo Marx, in his biography Harpo Speaks. The Marx family were immigrants, and many immigrant children were not fluent in English; Harpo related how smart-ass kids would tell the new immigrant children "When the teacher says 'Hello' to you, you are supposed to answer "sonofabitch". He became the teacher's "assistant" to be on the look out for the newbies to nip this one in the bud; he had of course been one of the victims.

I can remember when I was in 6th grade, the kids in my class tell me about a singer named Jack Off. They keep talking about him and one day I decided to look him up. I was on the internet and I typed in the name and came up with different results instead. I don;t remember what they were but it didn't say anything about a singer but I kept looking.
Then my teacher caught me and told me it wasn't appropriate and told me to get off. I asked her why was it inappropriate to look up the singer.
Turns out there was never a singer called that and the girl had to apologize to me about it after I said she and the other kids told me about him. Then my mother told me what 'jack off' was when I got home that day.
But there was a group called Jack Off Jill.
