I have a lifelong history of insomnia, the main problem being my mind turns on and if I think of anything remotely stressful, my thoughts start this horrible downward spiraling of anxiety and negativity almost becoming sucidal. Fortunately for me, Clonopin works perfectly. I've been taking it for about six years every night and have only upped the dose once. I feel very fortunate that one pill has cured me of the pain I was in from those nighttime anxiety attacks and insomnia, and that I can take a relatively small amount.

Everybody's different though. I seem to always need the lowest strength of any medication, whether it's an antidepressant, antianxiety or mood stabilizer. Other people OTS seem to be opposite to me.

Melatonin is the only thing that works for me without causing other problems.

I can't handle strong stuff like ambien or benzos. Anything from that family of drugs throws my system completely out of whack.
