Maybe that's about right. My life has been unusual, but I don't see extraterrestrials, dinosaurs or ghosts roaming the streets.

That could be correct. I don't know how to make friends.

Quote:
You were able to discriminate 85% of the face genders. Based on the results we have so far, the average person who takes this test correctly identifies 78% of the genders.

Hmmm... I don't know what to say to this. Good or bad, I do not know.

Quote:
You were able to discriminate 62% of the facial expressions. Based on the results we have so far, the average person who takes this test correctly identifies 66% of the emotions.

Some of those faces looked like they displayed emotions other than those listed. There were also very few happy looking faces on that test, and one of the faces that kept reoccurring was usually quite unemotional.

I'm disappointed. I expected better results. Maybe I was just too nervous.

7/8 for unusual experiences (way above average)
8/8 for social anxiety (shocker of the millennium... )
75% on gender ID from a face (slightly below average)
65% on facial expressions (it did seem like there needed to be another choice, such as "indifferent", I felt I had to choose, but really the 4 choices really didn't fit my impression - again, slightly below average)

Was it just me, or do they show you the same face like ten times in a row? :?

This test was too hard...one second is not enough time for me to study someone's face.

And like everyone else said, most of the faces looked neutral to me...so I just split those between disgusted and happy.

You had a score of 6 / 8 for unusual experiences. The average is 3.4.
You had a score of 5 / 8 for social anxiety. The average is 3.4

Yes, it was the same face quite often. There were only a couple of faces and I do not think more than 5 in the 1st part.

Also, I had:

You had a score of 2 / 8 for unusual experiences.
You had a score of 2 / 8 for social anxiety.

You had a score of 5 / 8 for unusual experiences. The average is 3.4.
You had a score of 6 / 8 for social anxiety. The average is 3.4.

You were able to discriminate
73% of the face genders. Average 78%. (slightly bad guesswork)
70% of the facial expressions. Average 66%. (slightly good guesswork)

there something yal may have not thought about. this test is in current operation. therefore only those who have taken the test contibute to the "average". now a question. what type(s) of demographic(s) is/are the test for? if only those who are not normal have taken this test then "average" would not have true life ratings

That maybe the poit of the test...that we can actually read facial expression but social anxiety actually causes us not to be able to? I think this maybe true.

While taking the test I thought it was way to fast and I was doing poorly but I actually scored higher then average on both...social anxiety was 8/8 duh.

I then took the attractivness test and found I rated people much lower then average person rated them...suprised me as well because I always thought I liked people that no one else found attractive. Guess I am fussier then I thought or just don't find the same looks attractive. Some of those people were scary looking. 8O

I Decided to do the test again because the first one I had too many distractions. So in a quiet room with no distractions whatsoever I gave it my very best shot.
I have always been impaired when it comes to facial expressions and 45% is the best I could possibly do.

Now the next question we wanted to look at was, did this relate to how well you process faces? We want to look at the way your personality might affect how well you process emotion and gender from faces (or vice-versa!).

How well you were able to judge gender from a face:
You were able to discriminate 68% of the face genders. Based on the results we have so far, the average person who takes this test correctly identifies 78% of the genders.

How well you were able to judge the emotion of a face:
You were able to discriminate 45% of the facial expressions. Based on the results we have so far, the average person who takes this test correctly identifies 66% of the emotions.

6/8 unusual experiences - average 3.4... seems right
7/8 social anxiety - average 3.4... also correct

Correctly identified 70% of face genders, average is 78%.
Correctly identified 68% of facial expressions, average is 66%.

A couple questions...
Wasn't the unusual experiences test basically a schizotypal personality disorder test? And with all the Aspergians taking face reading tests like this one, isn't the average skewed?

I was able to tell when the faces were angry and I was about 50/50 on the gender portion. Looks like my anxiety scale was 8 points on the scale - a lot higher than I thought it might might. Interesting test.

A major factor in my diagnosis of autism in the 1960's was a signifigant impairment of recognising facial expressions. I could not even draw any link between smiling and happiness. Sometimes I would mis-interpret it as anger.

Weird. I'm surprised I did so well on the expression recognition portion. I thought at least a quarter of the expressions were neutral.

My unusual experience score was rather low compared to some which is no surprise. I can anything out of the ordinary has happened to me like being abducted by aliens or something.
Unusual Experiences Score:
You had a score of 2 / 8 for unusual experiences. The average is 3.4.
