I didn't mean to come across as something extreme. Mostly within the mind. I posted this previously, but wanted different thoughts.

take control of it, wield it, merge with it, it is your possesion.maybe try to learn its name supposidly if you learn such a creatures name you can control it, thats why god does not tell anyone his name, thats what I learned from my school chaplin.
Also if it tries to get you to eat your victims hearts or keeps calling you its puppet, dont fight back against it.

WTF?! If it does that, you might want to seek help. Be it psychiatric or clergical or both.

During our bible studies dad told us about this, and I considered it for a while. I was 6 or 7 at the time and we were living in England, I had some weird experiences hearing and seeing things. Dad caught me and my friends trying to decipher the demon's name and claimed we were committing witchcraft and forced us to stop. I was only having fun. I came to the conclusion pretty early that no demon was in possession of me.

And yeah, if demons start telling you to do things, seek help immediately. Don't do what the demons tell or bid you to do.

You know, there have been documented exorcisms.

As in people claiming that an exorcist really removed a real demon from a person, sure. But I don't believe there is any scientific evidence for it.

We just had a murder suicide here in Calgary, the father was hearing voices and thought he was possessed by the devil, anyhow he killed his wife and 2 of his kids and a tenant who lived in their basement suite, so if you think you are possessed, seek help

The concept of evil spirits is christian. Buy Jesus and the Twelve boyfriends brand Coven, all others are evil.

Before that everyone saw them as good. Those who could paint, sculpt, compose poetry, music, had perfect pitch, designed buildings, understood machines, were said to have a Daemon. They could do what ordinary people could not, but had no training, just a gift from the gods.

The Greeks did describe the Autistic as such. They were highly valued.

The christian called them Sourcerer, for their knowledge came from a source other than the Bible.

That is when they started burning us at the stake. Still at it.

They destroyed the works of the Greeks, Romans, Math and Science, for they were not mentioned in the Bible. We call it the Dark Age, lit only by the light of burning Autistics, who knew things, and heard voices.

Autism has been called schizophremia, but that term has never been defined, most Autistics report inner dialog, several voices, it does make for writers, and for psychobble idoits who talk of latent schiztypical leanings and wanting to kiss the Devils Arse. Still stake burning.

Art, Science, beauty, did not come from religion or psychobabble, only from those gifted by the gods.

The Greeks called them the Muses, held them in high honor.

It is the best fit to the model of Autism.

Normal development till three would rule out a genetic or neorological cause, for it would be there from day one.

Starting at three, a change in brain wiring, a differance in development giving the child great mental powers.

Then an unchangable lifetime condition, of being somewhat different, and of exibiting unusual talents, and drives.

Aside from christiam conservtive spin, those with a spirit familier have little need for other social life, and strong special interests, often, Science and Medicine. Who taught Newton?

Spirit Familiers are known to run in families over hundreds of years, the Darwins.

Outside blood would rule out a genetic cause.

Many cultures consider them ancestor spirits returning to help, which produces Little Professors, children with the wisdom of adults, and often much wiser than adults. In the Jesus Myth, he was said to be a Little Professor.

Most traditional cultures consider them speakers for messengers of the gods.

They did nothing, they were small children, they were Chosen Ones.

Compare this to self elected elder brothers in black dresses who collect chior boys, or Psych Majors, who learned everything about the human mind in two years at the University.

Both of the latter groups say everything you think is wrong, only I know the Truth!

Chosen Ones are Truth Sayers, they cannot lie, nor will they shut up.

There is no wrath like that of a rejected Messenger of the Gods.

The Gods sent a gift, it was beaten, drugged, and burned at the stake, or nailed to a cross.

Once and repent, the world could be forgiven it's sins, but it did not turn out that way.

Now comes the Judgement of the Gods, Chosen Ones by the millions.

I laughed so hard I cried, (and scared my BF and cats)....then again it's 3am and I am getting a bit "punchy", so with that in mind I will tackle the Demon topic....

No I have never thought that a demon, as envisioned by many churches, has possession of me but based on my own religious teachings, I do believe that there are "dark forces" that you can become vulnerable to when your spiritual immunity is at it's weakest...like when you are depressed, angry or in a very negative environment. I think that this demon can manifest in different ways based on the belief system of the indvidual. I personally see our "self" as being a tuning fork that can be tuned into these light or dark forces based on many factors that we hve the ultimate control over...if you want to hand your control over to some church or religious belief system...that works for some people, (it comes at a price that I choose not to ay at this time but that could change some day).

If the person has a difficult time with their own negative thoughts and feelings, they may project them onto a "seperate being" but they are the ones who are really creating these thoughts/feelings. This is completly differnet the actual demonic possesion because it is caused by psychology, not spirit. I like the buddhist approach (which I think is the one that
Bradleigh's advisor was talking about), which is one that you deny that "demon"power by just not feeding it any of your energy by letting the bad thoughts "pass through you" without actively trying to fight them or judge them.

I don't believe in demons, but depending on what has happened to you, it might pay to see an expert about it.

As a person who has experienced what feel to be "invasive thoughts" from time to time...thankfully not on a regular basis....I can understand how someone might feel that way...but i believe there is a logical scientific..psychologial or chemical explanation explanation for it...i don't know what it might be, but I am sure there is one.

These things need to be taken seriously. I avoid Ouija boards, fortune telling, palm reading, horoscopes, etc. I believe if you call a demon it will come.

MANY aspies/auties/adhd/add/ocd have died due to "exorcisms" even today,

i say that priests are EVIL demons from the firey pits of heaven.

I very much doubt that a demon would let you assume control once it's inside you. The thing would probably give you the name of a Saturday morning cartoon-character or a little-known brand of sex jelly. Demons f**k with people. That's what they do. I doubt you could easily outwit a fallen angel.

I love this issue. I have seen enough evidence of the supernatural to know it exists, I come from a Fundamentalist Christian background, but now have many non-fundie views. I believe the power is from our minds and is genetic or at least caused by neotany(mind/body not fully maturing), but we must be careful, cause if we try to use that power too much we go mad, and for evil it corrupts the soul. If you are Autistc and realky want to fit into a church that doesn't think you are "evil" try the Charismatic group, and there are lots of other groups more accepting too.

Anyway, I personally think the fictional character on television that is most like Jesus is Kyle XY 0_O;

Yes, in a sense I suppose I do believe it's possible to be possessed.

I tend to think of my depression as a demon, because it behaves like a being that is separate from me. It will occasionally wake from its SSRI induced slumber and whisper horrible things about me, or take control of my hands and hit me. Sometimes it tries to convince me that I'm intrinsically evil or that I'm losing my mind. But I've found that modern medicine is the best way to procure an 'exorcism.'

Perhaps there's some anti-anxiety medication that could help your condition, though an old fashioned exorcism couldn't hurt either if it helps to calm your mind.
