I don't have such a big problem using people's names when talking about them, but I really avoid calling people by their actual name when I'm talking to them. Even saying Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Professor, etc...and I can't stand it when I get separated from people in a store or elsewhere...or even just sitting in another room at home and they call my name to find me or to get me to come over. Especially when my parents do it. Though I think that part of it has to do with me not liking my name. And it took me years to to program my Dad into my cell phone and I have my Mom listed under Mum...I'm from the U.S. so I think when my mom sees that I have her under that she thinks it's a little silly...

I hate using names in conversations, even if I'm talking about someone who's not present. I don't know why it's so hard to do it but it is, it's like I'm embarrassed for some reason.

I was that bad at one point, though I can usually manage it now so long as they arent present. I do still feel silly saying the names of people I hardly know or have never spoke to in all scenarios though.
