You do know that your score is slightly misleading if you take the test more than once, right? You learn most of the answers, and can use your time more efficiently the second time and concentrate on the more difficult questions, which gives you an advantage.

But isn't there too much time in the first place? The test is done in 15 minutes, although the time limit is 40 minute which is more than twice as much.

Haha Sora, not everyone is as smart as you. I dare to say using 15 minutes for that test is rather extreme... But i can't say i'm surprised.

At my first attempt, i thought there was plenty of time, and ended up stressing through the last questions. This time I had time to spend on the more difficult ones, but i still needed all the 40 minutes. (I didn't remember many answers at all, that's not what helped me. I think i just used the time more efficiently this time. Gives me good hope for the Mensa Raven's test I'm doing the next weekend.)

Ah, well, all right. But I'm not smart, just pattern-completion-smart haha

Good luck for the Mensa test. I didn't know Mensa did Raven's too. Where I live they usually just do an almost completely verbal IQ test which I consider quite unfair for everyone who needs a performance score to achieve Mensa's level.

Myself I'm more a WAIS guy than a Raven's guy.

Where I live they usually just do a completely non-verbal test, which i consider quite unfair for those of us who need verbal tests to reach Mensa level (if we can reach 131 at all).

I'd say I don't have much of an advantage. I literally didn't even SEE half the questions because the time ran out. What can I say, my daughter finally learned how to ride a bike yesterday and I went out to watch her. I figured it was more important than a timed test. Oh well.

I will retake it later when I can actually answer the questions. LOL

Ok. An other way is to wait a year or two, and hope that you've forgotten everything about the test in question. I don't know how reliable it is though.

Your daugher is more important, sure. An IQ test online isn't a big deal, there are plenty of other tests.

143

I more or less agree completely with Sora, and not because she seems exactly like Haruhi.

I did one of these back when I was twelve and I believe I only got one question wrong. I don't believe in intelligence tests as they are functionally useless and only test a narrow range of abilities. I'm confident in my intelligence and I don't need a test to confirm this or make me feel better about myself. I'm good at verbal and mathematical reasoning so I tend to do well on most IQ test but its all rather pointless.

122. That is 21 points lower than my WAIS-II score, but that makes sense because I've always had a large
verbal > performance gap.

The problems were interesting, though. Does anybody else do online IQ tests for the entertainment value? :D

That's true. I figured they'd do both, but if they just do a test that focuses on non-verbal abilities, it is just one-sidedness from the other side.

Mensa should do tests that involve both. I don't think it would be that hard to write a test that has a verbal tests part and a performance part that at least involves matrices.

Both are equally easily administered in a group setting.

I hope that is good that I seem exactly like Haruhi to other people.

Anyway, since you got 143 too, do you think you got one wrong or do you think you got all right? I want to know whether that test really ends at the weird score of 143!

I do. But only such tests as Raven's that involve analysis and completion of patterns or tests that involve other visual/spatial thinking. Verbal tests give me a hard time in comparison, it's no fun.

I've seen a screenshot somewhere else that had a score of 145, I'm sure.

Yep. That's why I do all these tests over and over. Why else would I? Entertainment and curiosity are the only reasons for doing IQ tests that I can think of. (Besides from when you actually have to take some IQ test because it's needed for some diagnosis... or something.)

Absolutely. I would have proposed separate tests for verbal and non-verbal, but one combined test might work just as well.

Haruhi also has a very competitive personality and accepts without hesitation any challenge that crosses her, regardless of difficulty or time constraint. Her constant optimism and over-confidence make her seem arrogant. She has very high standards and won't accept anything less than perfection from herself and her Brigade. She places a lot of trust in her Brigade members, especially Kyon, to get the task done whatever it may be. This can sometimes make her seem selfish and unkind.

She is not shy and often attracts a lot of attention to the point of not minding changing clothes in front of various people, more so when her SOS Brigade is in mind. When it comes to Mikuru she is very physically playful. She often comments on Mikuru's attractiveness and seems to find a kind of enjoyment in exploiting it to her own ends, often through forcing Mikuru into and out of various costumes such as a bunny girl costume as if she were a human dress-up doll.

Haruhi also seems to hate showing signs of vulnerability to others. Following her concert performance at the school's culture festival when she and Yuki filled in for two members of the band ENOZ, Haruhi showed awkwardness towards the band members when they thanked her the following day. As Kyon pointed out, Haruhi was not used to receiving praise from others because of how mischievous she regularly acts towards others because of her abnormal interests.

Ohkay. :P

Well, I took it again and got 133, so hurray for small improvements. I can not find a pattern for 34, or 39. I found a pattern for 39, but the square to complete isnt an option, so apparently I found a pattern they didnt mean to put in. For 38, I am fairly certain the choice is H, but it might be D. Both D and H fit a pattern, so I dont know which to chose. For 37 I was able to find a pattern for the appearance of the black squares and the black balls, but I couldnt find a pattern for the appearance of the white balls. So, while I am fairly certain that the answer to 37 is B, I cant be sure.

Would sora or sim mind telling what they got for 34, and 39, and why. And also what you picked for 38 because I see 2 distinct patterns that give 2 different answers.
