Although I also have real trouble figuring out what people mean when they talk about a protruding forehead or heavy brow ridge or whatever, those terms mean nothing to me in terms of what I see.
Good, I am not the ONLY one! As for my protruding forehead? It juts out about 1cm at most, between the highest depth above the nose between the eyes, and the highest point of where it protrudes. I have a relatively large forehead height, but I think the width is roughly normal. The depth at its deepest point is a bit more though. NOBODY ever mentioned it, but I certainly notice it if I am wiping my forehead. My brow ridge(the protruding part if the skull under the brows) is maybe 1-2mm in my case. I would consider that normal. AGAIN, NOBODY mentioned it. I can hardly notice.
BTW from what I can see, MANY people seem to have roughly the same volume, regardless of what appears at first glance. So those with wider often appear lower, ones that stick out in the back often are more sloped in front. I think the volume I have may be roughly average, though I DID have a large head, for my age, when I was younger. Of course, nobody has really hit a limit, so I don't know how much it really matters.
That is certainly not meant to apply to everyone, and not everyone here, but I want to temper my statements, and I am just saying. AND, as for such brain mass, supposedly everyone has cells that can be recruited to act as neurons. Of course, they can't do it as well or as fast as regular neurons.
So, WHO KNOWS, maybe such brain mass just appears to make no real difference. It may be like Arnold swartzenegger once said about protien. You don't REALLY need that much but, if you take enough, it is there right when you can best use it.
OH and, before you say anything, I am talking about more than a REASONABLE amount of brain mass. Supposedly, some people have had half their brain removed and have STILL done pretty well. Neurosurgeons generally RELY on that. They DO try to do most such drastic things before the person is really a teenager though. There is a growth period in there.
