I'm glad things are better for you now. I have had bullying blamed on my being autistic (as in it must be my fault for being weird), and more recently when trying to get the school to conduct the evaluations they are supposed to, they claimed I was exhibiting extreme autistic rigidity, just in making sure that the school complies with federal law as per IDEA!\

Yup, those poor, poor autistic people who are unfortunate to know enough about their rights to know that they are being violated!

am know many of the staff and social workers believe in religeon,am would like to know if they can believe in something they can only ever experience through words having never grew up during the bibles time, why is it so hard for them to understand the sensory needs of many autists when they are able to see the pain and torture they go through?

Many people have an idea that there is only one way to show pain, only one way to communicate, etc., and that if you aren't experiencing things in that way, you can't be experiencing them at all. It's like thinking that nobody else could sincerely believe in a religion you don't believe in.

how do they get working in support or as social workers?
am find it difficult seperating self from others ,but if someone says exactly what happens to them, what they believe in etc am believe it-not treat them like fakes,it's coming from their voice therfore that is what happens to them,am don't understand how anyone could still denie someone elses beliefs/thoughts even when told different?

Thanks earthmonkey!

Am not sure understand-is the school trying to get out of putting proper support in?
does the ADA have anything to protect against it?

-am said would get photos of the 'new' place on wedsday, went this evening with staff, its only down the road but because the council have been messing about with road works for ages had to go in car, wouldnt complain at that.

-that is the respite unit, and on the right is the office building, and managers office and spare rooms upstairs.
am able to use the garden there if wanted to...but dont, its crap.

-same as above, but further over-this one shows the old community home on the left [it was made to be as normal living as possible],the big tree in the middle with ant covered seat to sit around.

-almost all of that on there is KingdomOfRats territory even behind the fence,up to the corner of it.
next to the fence is a very very big kitchen, after the kitchen-a lot more rooms on both sides, toilets and a lounge.

-not good photo, had to miss a lot of it to stop it showing on the glass?, its the lounge, most of the stuff in there was taken and given to the community residentials as they thought it was going to be knocked down.
am going to demand a big samsung HD LCD tv for the corner in there and perhaps a slate bed pool table. for the middle, council paying of course.

still getting the adult swings put in [the car seat type ones that cant fall off of].

According to the laws there's a lot more stuff the school and district were responsible for, but they've done hardly anything, and we've had to fight them to get every little thing, as they are not willing to provide the evaluations and services they're supposed to. Unfortunately, unless you can afford a lawyer a lot of times you're out of luck.

That looks like a very intricate pattern on the floor. It could for me be lots of fun living with those kinds of patterns, but on the other hand I get very distracted and hardly complete anything!
