Tapping with my fingers. Counting, endless counting (hence TallyMan) I never stop counting. I count the tapping. As a kid travelling in a car I used to imagine a ball bouncing off the pavement (sidewalk) and count the number of times it would bounce off each side of the street before it would go up a side street or driveway. Counting ceiling tiles, floor tiles.
Did I mention counting already? I guess I count well into the thousands everyday in small batches.

I've released lately I do a lot of this: 8O

(in order of how frequently I do them)

- chewing the inside of my mouth
- pulling my face, particularly my eyebrows (I was doing that before I was typing this)
- twisting my arms and hands around each other
- clapping as I'm walking
- walking on my toes
- rocking back and forth
- tapping things
- lying on the floor
- curling up in a ball
- plaiting and unplaiting my hair
- rocking side to side
- clicking my fingers
- reciting things, saying random words

There are more that are only when I'm stressed. 8O

I clap, but not in public. I like to make a single really loud clap - like a gunshot and hear it echo around.
I'm terrible for picking up phrases or words off tv commercials and repeating them. It tends to be the catchy irritating phrases. I must sound like a complete idiot.
I tap my teeth a lot too, usually counting the taps.

I shake or bounce my legs a lot, rock back and forth or side to side, wring or shake my hands, shake my thumb, mess with my eyebrows (usually pulling the hairs out) or my head. I don't always notice when I'm stimming. Especially the leg shaking I seem to do very often without realizing it.

I make repeated, quiet claps, swinging my arms as I do it. :) I do it in public sometimes, but try not to at school as people will say offensive things. :( I seem to find it hard not to stim.

My sister sorta repeats tv adverts, but she doesn't have AS or Autism. I remember watching a documentry where someone did it uncontrollably because they had Tourette's.
I tend to recite poetry, songs, scripts and bits of stories.

Never really thought about it properly, but when out and about I do like to play with my keys constantly, now those keys are not there, I kinda hold onto the surrounding area it filled. I like to roll the bottom of my untucked shirt that I wear. Anything with a zip that could be done up, I would put on my lips and pull inwards so my mouth doesn't taste it, and of course rolling it too.
Running my hands through my hair I can tell how clean it is - but I keep doing it so it will probably get dirty quicker. There's probably more, but these are the ones I know of.

Funny thing about plaiting - I know how to do it and no-one ever taught me, I was playing with string and noticed the similarity between my finished product and my sister's hair

Those three things Kajjie listed, and also the clapping. I noticed someone before mentioned clapping, and I thought it was similar to how I did it, but it turned out different, I do the single real loud clap tho. First time I've seen someone esle mention this type. There's a position that if the palms hit just right, makes the perfect "pitch." Do this at work a lot, random times. Feels good, sounds good.

I'm short and my feet don't touch the floor on most chairs I sit on, so I swing my legs while I sit on my hands, I try not to do it in lectures but the library is fair game!. I also touch my lips with my index finger, I try not to do it in public if I do I reapply my lip gloss (I go though a lot of gloss!).

I also tap my fingers or make weird movements with my fingers, over extend or twist them.

Sometimes I touch my eyebrows, its usually with my left hand.

It's funny you mention that. I do a lot of activity with my left hand yet I am right handed :?

I used to put pens in my mouth and suck on them or chew them. I stopped doing that when I got a mouthful of ink one day!

I also clap when I'm walking, but I slap my hands against my thighs. I also snap my fingers. Sometimes I do both: slap, snap, slap, snap.

Clicking my jaw, neck and fingers, pressing my fingers against my eyes randomly, stretching, bouncing my knees up and down.

I also twist pens around my fingers in a rowing motion. i.e. The pen goes horizontoally above my middle finger, and my ring and index finger goes on top of the pen.

Rocking, flapping, jiggling, repeating things under my breath, swaying, moving my legs, laying on my stomache and bouncing my feet. Shaking my head and nodding, making sound effects with my mouth, and countless others.

If I do all of them at once, something cool happens. I can imagine anything I want at will, and it's like watching it in a seamless, perfect movie. It's nice. 8)

This thread just made me think about stims for the first time.

I never realized how many of them I have.

My fingers are constantly tapping. In beat to the music, just in general, etc.

I often wave them in succession.

I also frequently still "liquid" with my hands (a stylized form of dancing using primarily the hands from back when I was a raver.)

I rub the spot between my nose and upper lip, especially when smoking.

As a kid, I used to repeat the last thing I said under my breath after every sentence.

Oral fixation..., putting things in my mouth....... yeah..... hardest part of quitting smoking.

Now that I'm letting my nails grow out..... I've been sticking my right thumbnail in between my lips and just kind of feeling it.

I shake my hands, twist them I guess is more like it. Side to side, but sorta flappy like.
I wiggle my fingers a lot in the air, especially if I"m thinking.
I tap my fingers together. Thumb to middle finger usually.
I repeat words and have echolalia at times. I repeat in my head all the time. Palialia as well.
I get commercials and songs stuck and anytime a trigger word is said I blurt out the rest.
Friend: "Its 5 dollars"
Me: "Five. Five. Five dollar foot longs!" (the current Subway commercial)

Tap my feet, shake my leg, rub my pants, hair, arm, etc
Bite my lips, fingers, cheeks
When I'm starting to meltdown, I rub my fist against my forehead.
I also rock back and forth all the time.

I'm also right handed, but I'll do all sorts of things with my left hand.
