My OT told me, a long t ime ago, that my rubbing the flat part of my thumb nail across my lips is some sort of calming action. I would bet that the "under the nose" thing is too...

whenever im trying to relax on my bed i hold my arm up and make my hand limp,so i let my hand hang in the air and the blood rush from my hand relaxes me.

I put my finger there, but don't do anything with it. Its part of my "I'm thinking" pose :P

It also works well when my beard grows, because I can look like an Evil Viser rubbing a goatee :P

i've come to the conclusion that it's a stim because i seem to do it because i enjoy the sensation. i didn't think it would come under the category of "stim" because most of my other stims have a tension / release tension sequence.

thanks to everyone who replied for not being put-off by the thought of neanthumain ridiculing them. :)
