I have had dreams to do with my special interest , it usually involves being under water as one of my life long special interests is mermaids.

Funny thing is my main special interest is actually dreams, and has been forever.

Dreaming of a special interest topic

My interest grew out of my experiences with bullying, and I learned empathy from it. Many of my dreams involve the theme of saving someone/battling injustice, understanding a person who has suffered. I use these for story ideas. :)

Sometimes. In the past, SpongeBob has appeared in my dreams.

Just a few days ago, my 2nd biggest cartoon special interest "The Simpsons" had a big appearance in my dream.

I dreamed I was in an episode of Alias once. Needless to say, I was disappointed when I woke up.

Yes. I dream about people all the time, and relationships and events, as these are what preoccupy me the most... I basically live the life I cant live through my dreams. I am in a different country every night and I am often travelling on trains, catching buses, meeting people. Once I was on a train which was going to Zanzibar, that is the most exotic location I have been travelling to anyway. My anxieties also show up a lot in my dreams.

I've recently had a dream that I've made a Routemaster bus my new home, and I was showing it to my two closest friends.

I'd like to know if anyone here is able to have the majority of their dreams revolve around their special interests in the waking world. My son is really into Thomas the Tank Engine and pretty much describes his dreams involving some story line or another.

Is this possible? I don't know at this point if he is telling me this just because he is expected to give an answer when asked what he dreamed about last night.

Yupyup....I remember a while back my obsession was Alsatian dogs, I would see them in my dreams regularly.

Yes. I often dream about my special interests. I can't write about what since I forgot dreams soon after I have them (= the next day).
