It is rather easy for me to find friend on the internet, just because I don't get shy and get time to think about what to say. And it does reduce loneliness talking here, because I'm still socially interacting, but without constantly minding what I say and do, and what I DON'T say. I do like it here because a lot of us are aspie here, so we can understand each other without constantly judging, at least, I know I don't. Here is much more respect than in NT world.

I too see an empathy not found elsewhere.

The sad thing is: we can't meet in the physical world...Can we really relate to each other in the world out there? When I saw the movie Musical I saw everybody remained on his own planet most of the time. How long would it be before we drive each other nuts too?

It's difficult to truely make and keep friends in the real world. On the internet I don't really attempt to make friends on forums but they are NT forums. Even on the internet I still don't quite know what to say. This being an aspie forum I prolly would have better luck here but the ultimate goal is making friends in the real world because I don't want to live my life inside a computer.

Well I go to another "NT" forum but they genrally like the same things I do... Sci-fi, and Fantasy. And I have made friends and i have even met some of them in real life and found out one is an aspie. They genrally live around the country so if we can organize a meet up in London a lot of them come and we have fun together. So I wouldn't say its impossible to meet friends on the internet and they become friends in RL.
