this is a site where it's 'perfectly acceptable' (well encouraged arguably-they have a hidden forum for flamefests/dogpiles of people) to flame people to all hell if they make bad arguments ALONE, even if they're polite .....

EDIT: first I felt bad for the joke they didn't like (google 'FBI redirection' for info) but now if I use their logic, they deserved it...lol..

already have another account (3rd one lol), what to do.... 8)

Let them fake it. The more that fake it, the more pervasive it will be. The lines will blur, AS will become just another personality type.

Let them fake it. It will make it harder for curebies to isolate genes or assess suspected heavy metal poisonings.

Let them fake it. It will become socially acceptable, then even coveted(we see that already).

Let them fake it. Their achievements will be attributed to our neuro-type. Their social mass added to ours.

If your enemies do not know who you are, they do not know where to strike. This whole fake aspie thing throws a monkey wrench into their plans.

I for one welcome our bold faced impersonators!

I think you should try to be understanding and not take offense.

This guy was either:

- Joking. (it may not seem funny to you, but he may not have really meant it and was just being silly)

- Really misinformed. Which he can't help. In which case, you should try to inform him what autism really is, or try to get someone else to explain or get him to look it up if you feel to annoyed to explain it.

I get annoyed about very silly things a lot, but I'm quite suprised how angry people are at this guy. I think it's quite funny.

And I don't think NT fakers exist. See my post in 'ever become terrified you're not the real deal?'

Hahaha

Yeah, I'm disappointed as well. I thought my AS and 145 IQ would have enabled me to build a the new and improved atomic bomb.

Oh well, life sucks. Better get a helmet.

(emphasis added.)

I've seen people around here express the view that all autism is is misunderstood genius, so it is possible that he was sincere but mistaken.

The brain avatar...now THAT really scares me. That brain is just creepy looking because it's blue-black like a flower.

People who think they have a condition they don't have, I don't see it as them faking it.

There are conditions out there that overlap. If someone is an outcast lets say, they don't fit in because they have troubles making friends or keeping them, they don't have things in common with their peers, etc. Then they come across Aspergers on the internet and read a short description about it, they think they have it instead of the fact they have something else like Dysemia. They don't realize there is more than that to autism/AS.

It would be like my boyfriend coming across NVLD and thinking he has it just because it mentioned people with it get turned around and they get lost easily, have troubles finding their way around and my boyfriend goes "That is so me" and assumes he has it not even realizing there is more to that condition than getting turned around.

Instead of people thinking they may have a condtion but not even say they don't have it, they go on saying they have it instead.

How ironic, for most of my life I was doing the complete opposite to this guy - pretending to be an NT! I failed terribly on a continual basis so I am sure this person will trip himself up.

Some people do try and fake conditions to get attention but it aint as easy as they think it is, this idiot won't be able to keep it up if he's not genuine it's like someone faking a limp, at some point they will forget and someone will see them running for a bus.

Does he know you are autistic? Maybe he likes you.
