Supernatural and Paranormal experiences
never had that kind of experience, but once i saw a solar eclipse
Lucky. I've only seen a full lunar eclipse.
lucky, i didn't see that one, it was cloudy
For the whole time? Gutted. It was cloudy when I came home from work, but with a few hours persistance it cleared. It looked like Mars would if it was a lot closer. It was one of the mose awesome things i've ever seen.
for the whole time; paris is not new zealand
i will see it next time on December 21, 2010
Yeah, well I guess it wouldn't have been there as long as it was over here. It really was great though.

I remember the lunar eclipse, I sat outside waiting for it to happen as well as watching it on tv shortly afterwards.
I will tell you on the the feeling one it was beyond sight, I had a realy ominous feeling just before it and it was like I could swear someone was right there but just the feeling I got off was like comeing up against some beast, I dont even know if I could see it physicaly.

Wow I can go on and on about it. I'll start off with saying that 3 days before my daughter was born (and she was a bit early)... I was at my parents' house and I felt a strong breeze behind me. The A/C sure wasn't on and it wasn't from the outside.. and my parents had 2 dogs that were lying in front of me looking directly above me... I bet they saw something and I have a feeling it was a loved one coming back telling me that the baby was soon to be born.. I couldn't have believed it at the time because it was too early but sure enough, it happened 3 days later. And secondly one morning I woke up and saw a ghost of a man with boots standing on top of my husband and I was so startled that I forgot that I had to desperately go to the bathroom lol. But shortly after the ghost disappeared and went towards the window. After I told my husband this, he said "wow thats funny, I had slept so exceptionally well last night that I don't ever recall sleeping that well". We think it may have been his late father visiting. And a year later my husband saw the same figure standing over the bed but I didn't. My husband is more of a skeptic than I am when it comes to this stuff as well, but I think he believes it more now. And recently.. unfortunately we had to put our dog down
and out of no where, my son who is also under the spectrum looked towards the kitchen door, grins and said his name as if he was excited to see him!! He only did that once and never again since. But I thought that was kinda weird. Makes you really wonder.

sleep paralysis is entirely natural
It is, actually, but have you ever heard of the Hag Attack? This is a paranormal phenomenon particular to Maritime Canada. And it is real. Here's a link.

YES YES YES and that is SCARY! The last time it happened to me was this past January. I REMEMBER the details of it too. I thought I heard the phone ringing (which obviously it wasn't) and I was not able to move (obviously), let alone getting out of bed to reach the phone... and the next thing I saw was a dark figure coming into the room and yelled at me in a demonic voice "don't you hear that the phone is ringing, why aren't you getting it" and the thing crushed me into the mattress.. THEN I jumped up with my heart pounding a mile a minute. GOSH!! !! I remember the night after that I was terrified of going back to sleep! Someone actually told me if you burn incense sage and mix it with lavender ... and put it into tissue under your pillow, and telling whatever evil entity to leave before going to bed, will take care of it. Now thats a matter of belief but I really, personally think when you are experiencing sleep paralysis, you are in a vulnerable state and if there are evil entities around, that is the ideal time for them to play games with you. Many people that are well aware of sleep paralysis and how to handle it, use it for out of body experiences so from what I had heard. But let me tell you, since I have been burning the sage and telling whatever evil entity around to leave before going to bed, that hasn't happened since.. and I did have one other sleep paralysis incident this past spring which did not involve that horrific event.. so makes you wonder.

Speaking of sleep paralysis, gran used to experience visits of an "incubus" when she was 20 and recently married.
Not knowing the term "sleep paralysis", gran later described "incubus" to me as a man who paid her visits practically every night but never did nothing more to her than only sitting on her chest.
Visits stopped when gran followed advice of older inhabitants of her village who had bigger experience with paranormal entities
and started to put a sickle under her bed before going to bed which scared the "demon" away

Yay a post about the paranormal
To start with I was walking down the hallway when we first moved into our new place when I was younger. I felt a really distinct tap on the shoulder, tap tap, turned around expecting to see my Dad and there was no one there. My sister was directly in front of me at the end of the hall or I would have thought she was trying to play a prank on me. There was no one else in the house at the time so I know I experienced something paranormal. I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone had died there but never did hear any stories. My hubby says "maybe it was a muscle spasm" but I know it wasn't, never had a muscle spasm that felt like someone distinctly tapping on my shoulder (two hard taps).
I also saw something I can only describe as a UFO because me and my dad simply couldn't explain it. A big ball of light that just appeared out of nowhere and slowly moved across the horizon for maybe a half hour, and then disappeared.

Where I worked once we were in two big old houses. The one I was in was supposed to be haunted by a young woman. Quite often I was the first person in and I would frequently hear footsteps on the closed-off staircase and in the corridors above my office. One day there were the footsteps followed by a cry for help. I searched the building from top to bottom, but couldn't find anyone.
The other building was supposed to have lots of ghosts. It was so bad at night that Security refused to enter the building and would only do checks from the outside. Colleagues who worked there said there'd be nights when all the heavy fire doors would start banging open and shut wildly.
Security used to come round in pairs; one would stay in the car and one would check the buildings. One evening the guy out of the car came back to find the driver white and shaking. When he asked what had happened the driver said he'd just reversed over a young woman - the other guy checked, but there was no-one there.
My worst experience was in another old house. I went into a room, tried one set of lights, which didn't work. Walked into the room to reach a second set and all the doors banged shut, so I was shut in in the pitch black. I ran like hell, climbing over the furniture, and wrenched the door open to get out. Someone else went in there another time with all the lights on and as they entered the room there was a big crackle and all the lights went out.
Maybe it was someone playing a practical joke, but usually you find out at some point (I don't think practical jokers find it much of a "joke" if they can't laugh at their victims afterwards). The feelings though were very oppressive.
Wow, as intriguing as these stories are, they are also very scary. I want to become a paranormal investigator, but I'm not going alone. If I got shut in, in a pitch black room no less, I admit I'd be very scared!
