I think that for much of our lives, others have found fault with us, so that's what we've learned, we find fault with others.

I think that before we learn to see the positive, we have to unlearn seeing the negative in everything.

Also, a lot of people seem to have a need for conflict in their lives. Hopefully, they will eventually outgrow this need for conflict, and not live their whole lives that way. Fortunately, suitable outlets exist, like the Politics, Philosophy & Religion forum, because people have to get that stuff out. If they can take it out anonymously, on a web forum, then maybe they won’t find themselves taking it out on their family or co-workers.

I think I figured out why so many arguments occur here and why people keep pissing each other off.
It seems like people will post something only if they find something that they disagree with.
If a person agrees with a statement, it gets left alone.

In fairness, agreement was never the spawner of much debate.

I think our condition makes us grouchy and disagreeable.
So we disagree with everything.

would you disagree with something you actually agreed with just for the fun of arguing though?

One thing Aspies could learn is to accept constructive criticism and not take things quite as personally. I think of it as having an ego that's too big. With an overinflated ego, criticism has a larger impact.
I have always had trouble accepting criticism.
The complaints about Aspies on this forum remind me so much of myself I have a knee jerk oppositional reaction but that doesn't mean it's a good way for me to be.

Sometimes, yes, but not here because of mods. I don't want to be labeled a troll. I think I would make a good lawyer IRL.

I personally couldn't do that, it just wouldn't sound too convincing. if I ever argue with you you can be sure that I really mean it

This hate has gone on long enough. Yes, aspies in general have a lot of faults, but they are still people too and there is no reason for any of these attacks to go on. It serves absolutely no purpose. Debating is fine but that is no excuse to attack people personally.

I often decide to post when I read through a thread and realize that I have something to say about the subject that has not yet been said. Sometimes it is a point of view that others disagree with.

Sometimes I don't even agree with it. If I don't fully agree with the statement I'm posting, I try to make this clear by saying something like, "Another way some people look at this is ____ ."

I think there's a lot of value in adding different points of view to a conversation; I do so to promote thought, not to provoke argument. But not everyone sees it that way.

A lot of people enjoy arguing and look for excuses to do so. Or they simply believe that they are right and have the responsibility to convert everyone else to their way of thinking.

Anyway, I don't personally enjoy engaging in any kind of arguing, but I think that arguing about a topic can be interesting and intellectually productive as long as people exercise enough consideration and self-control to avoid taking it to a personal level.

am like it that the majority of users who make threads like this [to be troll bait rather than saying its joke like Magnus has]-forget to include auties and PDDNOSers in their baiting unless its bait just about classic autism.
