I got hit by a slow-moving car last summer. It knocked me off my feet and gave me some nasty scrapes on my arms and hands, but I just kept moving. It only hurt for a few hours, and then I was fine.

He probably honked because you were not following the rules of the road. Bikes are supposed to follow the same rules as cars- you are supposed to go in *same* direction as traffic, bike in the lane (*not* between cars), stop at red lights and stop signs, etc. It sounds as if you have had many close calls- you should consider following the safety laws. Following the safety rules make both you and the others on the road safer. What if you ran a light and a car which swerved to avoid you hit someone else?

I was 4 or 5, not sure which. We were in San Antonio, TX at the time. I was playing with a friend, yes in the street, and a pickup truck hit me. I was unconscious for a while, don't know how long but at least 30 minutes. When I came too the ambulance had just arrived, my mom was bending over me, and I thought I felt fine so I asked mom if I could go play. Of course she said no, when I tried to get up it was hard but I wasn't feeling any pain, and then the ambulance people put a neck brace on me and loaded me up. I think I stayed the night at the hospital puking my guts out and sore all over. For a few weeks my ribs were sore. A few years later I had some major neck problems that I think/thought were from my neck landing on the curb, though it's weird that it would take so long to catch up, but I have no other reason for my neck suddenly cramping and hurting a lot to the point I was screaming every time we hit a bump in the road while riding in the van years later. For several years it would cramp up and hurt a lot, and it was stiff and hard to turn my head all the way to the side when it wasn't killing me.

The idiot honked because he is stupid and mean. I knew I wasn't going to get hit. About the rules of the road, I follow them when I need to, but it is still fun to flirt with the cars. I don't ride the wrong way when the streets are busy; I just get away with it when I can. About making some car hit another, I'm not that stupid.
