Anyone else in this forum have a problem with smoke alarms or fire alarms? Do they startle you?

hate them.
home staff or family only ever do testing of the fire alarms when others have taken am out, they dont even tell am when its going to happen anymore because the thought of them going off can also set off.
every time they are accidentally triggered, they set off powerful meltdowns and seizures.
the alarms they have in the residential homes here are the powerful industrial ones that can be heard down the street, and if a resident floods the top floor-the fire alarm can be left going on and off constantly for days as due to health and safety crap,LD services wont allow any residents to stay there with alarms switched off.
