not a textured topic at this point

i find this odd... i can watch a surgical procedure no problem... i can be in the OR no problem..

but snapping and cracking a chicken apart just makes me cringe...

CLASSIC AUTISM

LOVE
Concrete
Metal (cold)
Fuzzy/furry things (especially cats and ermine)
Rusted metal
Sandpaper
Sand
Rocks

HATE
SOS pads
Wet animals
Anything chalky
Wet paper of any kind
Microfiber (when it clings to your skin)
Lab gloves (latex, plastic or nitrile; doesn't matter)
Other people's skin (makes me cringe)
Mushrooms
Cherries/blueberries/grapes (the skins gross me out, though I like the way they taste)

There's more; I just cannot recall every one.

Love:
Squidgy things
Stuff I can chew
Cold metal
Clean surfaces
Raw meat but only beef pork lamb and turkey chicken feels weird
Hate:
rough surfaces


It's lucky I like the feel of raw meat especially since I am a butcher

raw meat thats an interesting one. do you ever find yourself stimming with your um... butcherings?

Soft fur
Most anything cool in temperature
Most anything smooth
Certain fabric material such as cotton and silk
I suppose denim also
Porcelain

Hate:

Sharp fibers
Most anything sharp such as pins and needles
Certain types of glass, although stained glass patterns that are curved are fine
Wood
Most things that feel like static such as certain foams(such as the boom on a microphone), although this particular thing is not as bad as the sharp stuff

I think that's about it although sometimes the foam stuff can be comforting because of its seeming randomness, it tends to remind me of my own mind and can help me organize my thoughts, if that makes any sense to you.

I only really love smooth or soft textures, never really thought about it before. I was thinking you meant textures in the form of patterns when I read the topic title.
