Ok, you have to have social status to get friends, thoughts can be used against you in a court of law, unless you sleep outside, you need to pay for a bed and a house, talking on a phone and the internet is not free, sometimes you have to pay to get into a park, if you live in a highly polluted city, the sky isn't free and life isn't free either. How come pregnacies and subsquent labor makes doctors rich and same thing with death. Cemetaries charge.....

Do you believe this statement to be true or false?

there's a lot of things in the world that are free, but too many only ever look for the big things-and when they aren't there, they say there's nothing.

You're forgetting all those free gifts in cereal packets and magazines.

Plastic tack is free.
If it's free, it's usually of questionable quality and usefulness.

At one point I wondered if everything was made in Taiwan.
I don't like to dwell on it, so moving swiftly on...

I don't know about the toys in Mc Donald's Happy Meals though.

It's one way to tempt the kiddies to keep coming back I guess: collect the whole set!

Great in theory, but what about duplicate merchandise! 8O

The bane of my life, the "swap with your friends" part.

I never could swap anything with anyone, not even my closest buddies.
Perhaps that's why I still have 3 identical pteranodon pen toppers cluttering up my desk.

One friend of mine kindly donated her surplus Kinder Surprise ornaments to me because she was having a clear-out. Mind you, those ornaments were included in the cost of the vastly inflated egg price. But still, the thought was there.

Gifts, they're free.
Christmas, Birthdays, Charity donations and Thank yous.
Tokens of friendship, love and...um bribery(?!)

I'd like to take this opportunity to applaud all of those material gift givers in the world wherever they may be. We appreciate you, really we do.

Giving stuff to other people is fun especially when it's junk you don't need any more.

If misery is free, then happiness is even cheaper.

You don't even need to walk the load of worries around with you that you need to feel miserable if you want to be happy.

Suffering is inevitable.

Misery is optional.

Both can be had for free.

Those things on magazines aren't free at all, a fraction of the cost of the magazine is simply to pay for the gift on the front! So all you're getting is the fact that you have two items without having to add the prices together. The cashier wins.

I know servers can cost a lot, to serve a lot of people, BUT.... WP can make like 3% or more on amazon(So purchases of less than $3300/month on amazon could pay for a nice server here), can make a LOT on google(although it is usually only a few cents(A couple hits/month on a link about mesothelioma can pay for a nicer server)), can make money per exposure(maybe 9900000/month), per click(maybe 9900/month), or per sale(probably less than 19/month) on other ads. Of course, exposure makes less than click which makes less than per sale. WP can ALSO make money through advocacy, associations, and talks.(again, more effort, but more consistant money) It all depends on getting a lot of people here that might buy.

I CAN tell you that most people here are probably not good customers(no offense, but with the talk about SSI, not having jobs, the age of many here, etc...), and it isn't perfect. I don't know if WP made a penny on me yet. But SOME make a LOT of money by doing less!

BTW my finances have just not been that good, etc..., so I haven't bothered setting up donations. Though I AM planning to be FAR better off financially some time next month. Who knows, WP may get some money from me yet.
