I have been driving for 17 years and I have only had one real own fault accident. But I did once damage the bumper of my car by knocking into a wall with it.

With some luck I will avoid more crashs.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

Four, two of which were my fault and one of which was potentially deadly (I hit the back of another car on the motorway at high absolute but low relative speed.) I nearly had another one last Thursday, the roads were all snowed over and I lost control of the car, fortunately I was only doing about 5mph and the driver who was headed toward me managed to avoid me!

I am a bad driver. I only learned 6 years ago - well into adulthood. I have problems with spatial stuff sometimes, so i scrape mycar when parking and go up onto kerbs occasionally! not good. I overcompenate consciously by driving slowly - no major accidents. just lots of little scrapes. my car is a bomb as a result.

I've bumped into cars while trying to park many times. Yea, I suck at parking no matter how much practice I get. I always leave a note if I leave a mark on someone though. I also drove over a curb once by accident and dislodged my front bumper.

I’ve also had a couple scary close calls. One time I hit an icy patch on the freeway and started to fishtail. I skidded and turned completely around. Thankfully I managed to come to a stop without hitting any other cars or going off the road. Another time I almost killed someone on a motorcycle. It was his fault though. He crossed the center lane on a hairpin turn going down a mountain while I was going up. Had to take sudden evasive action. I stopped and the guy on the motorcycle backed up to me. He was looking like 8O .

I'm magnetically attracted to the backs of SUVs.

I'm getting better, though. :)

I really hate it when I'm waiting to make a turn and the people behind me start honking. Shut up already! Can you see the oncoming cars? No! But I promise they're there!

I have the same problem sometimes. I hate turning left in the dark without a green-arrow traffic light. I'm extremely sensitive to the light from oncoming traffic and I can't always easily judge how big the gaps are or how fast the oncoming cars are moving. I err on the side of caution and some a**hole behind me starts honking. Makes me want go road rage on them.

Oh, yeah. I don't know whether this is true for everyone, but I find it really hard to judge distance and speed when all I can see is a pair of headlights.

Not to mention they are blinding to me. Especially the damn SUV's. I don't know if other people can judge easier or if they're just less freaked out by it than I am. Who knows.

Are you talking about regular headlights, or those new xenon ones? I think those are pretty blinding to everyone.

I'm not sure. Usually the SUV and truck lights get in my eyes more because they are higher up relative to me.

I do hope that by this you mean that your aim at the back of them is getting better. :D

Yes and no. I no longer aim at them with my front bumper. But I'm downright lethal with my roof-mounted laser cannon.

I have had 3 or 4 minor accidents. Been driving for 6 years total. I haven't had any since I was 18 or 19 though, going on 3 years with nothing *knock on wood*

Granted for the past 3 years I have only driven occasionally on weekends.
