I love me too. HA! :D

Yea, thats the reason why I have a few close knit friends and am kind of selective when it comes to making new relationships. Hell, that's the reason why I've had only a few girlfriends... they were attracted to my unique eccentric personality...it always has distinguished me.

I personally love the term weird to describe myself. Given the world as it is now constituted, I am weirdly compassionate, weirdly focused on interesting subjects, weirdly attached to my own integrity, weirdly honest, and weirdly ethical. What can I say? It's true. If we lived in a different world, I would just be compassionate, focused, interesting, honest, ethical, and very committed to my own integrity. But in this world, all these things are weird, weird, weird.

So I act and dress the part. I don't care about the latest fashions. I wear what I like and don't try to blend anymore. I do what I like as my heart and conscience direct, and I try and let other people be themselves as much as possible. It's easier to do this with other weird people, but I'm getting there with the less-than-weird as well.

Weird, isn't it.

With all respect, I disagree (except for the interesting subjects bit... that's for anyone to decide!). I mean I see your point, but I don't think those values are weird in the sense of odd, or even particularly uncommon, they're just not fashionable or newsworthy. I think it's often in the nature of bad and wrong to be loud and blatant; (often) in the nature of good and right to be quiet and discreet, and the honest, caring and compassionate people of the world just don't get the limelight.

(edit)

To answer the OP mind, I do find weird people attractive and interesting and all. Well, nice weird people, at least.

I'm not a big fan of NT people. In fact, I'm begining to loathe them. Especially teenagers. You never know when to trust them. All they do is nag, complain, gossip, and ask for advise. They are way too dramatic. I'm sorry to tell you this, but I don't particularly care.
I'm minding my own business, why won't you?

This is why I love weird people. Weird people are much better. They are way more mellow and less dramatic.

I think weird people are awesome too. I just hope someone doesn't come here and ruin this thread with whining about, "NTs aren't all bad too!". We know, yet there isn't campaigning to end the exsistance of all NTs, nor are their people spreading lies against NTs with the intent to harm them. There are many things NTs take for granted that Aspies don't have, like easy access to gaining a job, or being accepted in general.

What I'm trying to say is we should be able to have at least one place us Aspies can speak freely, without being reminded by NTs how much of annoyance we are to them. How we're being too broad in saying all NTs are such and such. Yet it is NTs who claim that all Auties/Aspies are exactly alike, and NTs who talk about us as if we're one homogenous group with no differences to us at all. If NTs want us to regard them as individuals, then they should see to it that the same courtesy is considered towards us, and the majority of the time it simply is not.

That'd be hard to happen given there's the BLATANT HIPOCRISY factor committed by many and they use religion, or social conditioning, or some connotation or words to shield it if you point it out or use a definition that is accurate, but NOT socially 'acceptable'. See 'Sarcasm' vs.
Lies' as an example.

I love chatting with people who are obsessed with odd interests. I met a bloke who owns a Ferrari 308, and has driven it for over a 100,000 miles ! ! A true eccentric. Another one is the local guy who owns a collectible record store (vinyl albums), a lovable crank ! !!

Just so they're not too weird ! !!

(I'd love to meet Poopylunstuffing ! !)
