I personally love the term weird to describe myself. Given the world as it is now constituted, I am weirdly compassionate, weirdly focused on interesting subjects, weirdly attached to my own integrity, weirdly honest, and weirdly ethical. What can I say? It's true. If we lived in a different world, I would just be compassionate, focused, interesting, honest, ethical, and very committed to my own integrity. But in this world, all these things are weird, weird, weird.
With all respect, I disagree (except for the interesting subjects bit... that's for anyone to decide!). I mean I see your point, but I don't think those values are weird in the sense of odd, or even particularly uncommon, they're just not fashionable or newsworthy. I think it's often in the nature of bad and wrong to be loud and blatant; (often) in the nature of good and right to be quiet and discreet, and the honest, caring and compassionate people of the world just don't get the limelight.

To answer the OP mind, I do find weird people attractive and interesting and all. Well,
nice weird people, at least.
