The ones I got:
Dysthymic disorder (Constant low-grade depression? Probably do have it. My cousin was officaly diagnosed with it, too.)
Generalized anxiety disorder (Nah.)
Major depressive disorder (Have been diagnosed with that. True.)
Major depressive episode (Obviously. If you have the first^, then you're gonna get this.)
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (No. Definitly not. I just like to line stuff up. And I do have a habit of re-checking things, but... nah. I'm not OCD.)
Oppositional defiant disorder (Also a no-no. I just stole a little and lied a bit during my school years. And I normally ended up admiting to all my lies, anyhow.)
Specific phobia (Duh. Bugs, heights, needles.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ones I didn't get:
Agoraphobia
Alcohol abuse (Alcohol is gross.)
Alcohol dependence (...Gross.)
Anorexia nervosa
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
Bipolar I disorder
Bipolar II disorder
Bulimia nervosa
Cannabis abuse
Cannabis dependence
Cocaine abuse
Cocaine dependence
Conduct disorder
Hallucinogen abuse
Hallucinogen dependence
Hypomanic episode
Inhalant abuse
Inhalant dependence
Intermittent explosive disorder
Manic episode
Opioid abuse
Opioid dependence
Panic Disorder
Pathological gambling
Phencyclidine abuse
Phencyclidine dependence
Posttraumatic stress disorder
Sedative abuse
Sedative dependence
Separation anxiety disorder (For a bit, I thought it'd give me this...)
Social phobia (Ironic I didn't get this, because I actually do have it. And pretty badly.)
Stimulant abuse
Stimulant dependence
There wasn't a doubt all the drug ones would be negitive. :P I don't do drugs.
Computer he say:
Conduct disorder
Dysthymic disorder
Generalized anxiety disorder
Intermittent explosive disorder
Major depressive disorder
Major depressive episode
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
I don't think I have OCD. I'm diagnosed with depression and anxiety, at any rate. I guess the phobias and aversions are grouped under generalised anxiety. Intermittent explosive... I suppose so, although not against people other than myself. Conduct, not these days, I thought oppositional defiant would be much more like it anyway.
They fail to look at cause and effect, like everyone in the psychiatric profession.
Still... taking it right now.
Update: I wonder if they deliberately made the questions load slow in the ADD section. I'm ready to eat my hand.
Update: CRASH! Negative for everything up til that though. I'm really shocked it didn't slap me with the "daderp! you cry so u r teh dapresssssed!" one.
Wow. Because I got stopped by the cops (then let go) when I was 16, it flagged me for alcohol abuse. I was negative until then. I don't even drink. I haven't for years. :roll:
For research purposes, I'm positive for:
alcohol abuse
panic disorder
social phobia
not generalized anxiety though. Weird. So I take it none of the personality disorders are recognized?
I came up with:
Agoraphobia.
Anorexia Nervosa
Dysthymic Disorder
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Specific Phobia.
As a caviat I've never been to a therapist or Psychiatrist (and it's been 8 years since I've seen a medical professional of any kind) so I've never been diagnosed with anything but I'll plead guilty to all but the Anorexia. In order to be diagnosed you need to be under 85% of your expected body weight regardless of any other issues you have with food and I am not. I do know quite a bit about the bureaucratic side of medicine from my job in the health insurance industry.
It seems there might be quite a bit of overlap betweeen OCD and what is Aspergers. Driving back to work to make sure I shut off my desk lamp is obviously a classic OCD behavior but when I identify every tree I walk under or every car I pass is that a compulsion or a specialized interest? Or maybe some of both?
Another point is that the questions aren't really taken in any kind of context, which a professional would do, but it's still better than just most other personal assessment tools out there I've seen.
+Cannabis dependence
+Major depressive disorder
+Major depressive episode
+Obsessive-compulsive disorder
I haven't smoked cannabis in over a year. I had to laugh at the question "Were there times in your life when you were often under the influence of marijuana or hashish in situations where you could have gotten hurt, for example when riding a bicycle, driving, operating a machine, or anything else?"
Since when can weed put you in danger while driving? You're only going about 20km/h! I've had a whopping seven accidents while driving, I was stoned three times out of seven, and only once out of seven was the accident actually my fault, and I wasn't stoned at the time, just half asleep. I remember the one accident where this old man crashed into the back of my car, I was very high, and after I got his details and returned to my vehicle my friend and I laughed our arses off.
Wow. That was quite a long quiz. I agree with my results, though the cannabis dependence is a bit behind me now, the other three diagnoses are spot on, and my doctors would agree.
When I started seeing my current psychiatrist I told him that I'm an Aspie he immediately requested that I investigate the following:
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Obsessive compulsive personality disorder
Avoidant personality disorder
Schizoid personality disorder
Social phobia (i.e. social anxiety)
Agoraphobia
I learned quite a lot in my investigation, I wrote a 9,200 word personal assessment essay of the criteria for each of the disorders and how I thought they applied to me. There are quite a few cases where the above disorders overlap Asperger's. I have a mild case of OCD, but my psychologist believes it is co-morbid to the dominant Asperger's diagnosis. If you have oodles of time to spare then I recommend that you research the disorders that I listed above, you might be surprised by what you may find.
Well, pot does raise your reaction time. So if reaction time is a factor in your accident, then you'd be more vulnerable, yeah?
This was weird. I didn't like the questions, and the way it seemed to interpret them. For instance, apparently I have ODD because I cut school a lot, back in high school. But I wasn't being oppositional. I was just uncomfortable at school. I don't recall any adult ever seeming to notice that I cut school. If they knew or cared, they kept that to themselves. There was a lot of stuff like that on the test. And the results seemed to suggest that I have all kinds of things, including things that make no sense at all, given the answers I gave.
Agoraphobia
Dysthymic disorder
Generalized anxiety disorder
Intermittent explosive disorder
Major depressive disorder
Major depressive episode
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Panic Disorder
Social phobia
That's pretty close to what I have. I have agoraphobia and sometimes I'm depressed.
I got those occationally, and the page froze with"loading" and javascript errrors, so I clicked on the 'assesment' option at the top of page, and it refreshed the page with the question that i was answering. I was able to finish the assesment, with about 5 of these "loading" issues.
I got:
# Positive Generalized anxiety disorder
# Positive Major depressive disorder
# Positive Major depressive episode
# Positive Obsessive-compulsive disorder
I have been diagnosed, or at least thought to have all of those things in the past. I'm surprised that agoraphobia wasn't listed, though.
