People always laugh at me when I read aloud. People laugh at unusual or funny things. Therefore my voice must be unusual, although I don't think so. I do notice how I uncontrollably speak too fast or too slowly at times with an uncommon rhythm.

I have a pretty distinctive sounding voice.
I used to be a switchboard operator, and my voice was always heard over the intercom, and it got lots of comments.

Out of curiousity, I just checked-out a few of your videos on youtube. I have to say your voice is very sweet and unique! Not to mention your singing which is beautiful. :D

I've read that alot of AS women have childlike intonations to their voices. I think it's rather endearing and charming.

When I get called on in class, I answer in a shy little girl sounding vioce. Everyone laughs, they think it is so funny (which, I suppose it is a bit funny paired with my "I must speak perfect English (grammar)" thing). And when I am talking to a teacher (one-to-one) they comment on my low monotone voice and how that changes when I feel more comfortable.

I have a low monotone voice or I take on the accent of others.

I have a nasal voice which I find annoying whenever I hear it played back. Some women have commented that over the phone it's sexy.

Go figure ...

Mine's slightly deeper than most female voices.

I have the impression that when I was younger people often thought it belonged to a slightly older individual. But that's me guessing based on my experiences. No one ever said so outright.

I never had a childlike-squeaky voice. It was always smooth and deeper than that of the other girls.

I have huge trouble shouting (not with screaming) too. Because my voice is so smooth and deep it doesn't reach people as easily as a shrill typically female voice does.

Oh yeah, I like my voice. Wouldn't want a another voice.

Something truly weird:

I sound odd when recorded on system of mediocre quality. Like, really hard to identify.

Only very high quality recordings capture my voice accurately. Something about my voice seems to make it hard to record it's original tone.

Also, I'm not good at whispering.

But really, who needs whispering when you're a hyperactive and loud individual anyway haha

I have been told that my voice is unusually "proper".
I also get teased for the fact that I "talk with my tongue." And I have a very slight lisp when I try say any "s" sounds, perhaps because I rely on my tongue so much for speech.

I've lived in Southeastern Virginia all my life, and strangers always ask me where I'm from whenever they hear my voice. Apparently I sound like I come from somewhere completely different.

Here's a small example of my voice...

Sometimes people will snicker whenever I speak. I don't know whether it's because of the words I say, or if it's because of the way I say them. People baffle me sometimes.

Yes, I have that sort of voice that sounds different. Supposedly it's an Inverness accent. That's what everyone thinks. In fact I have found even people from Inverness think that.

I have been watching a lot of Asperger videos on Youtube lately, and a lot of the Aspies speaking on the videos are like me in that their voice has a different quality to other people where they are from.

You almost sound like you are trying to turn someone on, or brag about(or sell) your pizza! I think people may ask you where you are from because of how you use your tongue(it is a bit odd), or the way you stress things. Anyway, you are easy to understand and, though people may think it odd or funny, I see no reason to believe any laughter is ridicule.
