Hmm is falling down the stairs a sign of Asperger's? I mean I fall down the stairs on a weekly basis at home, sometimes I fall up the stairs. (I.e. tripping as I walk up the stairs). I think this calls for some research. I know bad handwriting is supposed to be common (I'm guilty of it), but stair falling didn't make the criteria, hmmm....

Now that I think about it, I do get to practice my stair falling technique fairly often. Usually when I'm tired or in a hurry and not concentrating. I think I've done the intentional fall so many times, I don't really notice when I fall by accident. Plus I'm currently in a single level house so fewer opportunities.

I have noticed my daughter (4yrs) has a lot of trouble with stairs. She still has to take them 1 at a time, very carefully, while tyhe other kids are racing up and down.

Gosh, I had the same premonition that I was going to die in my 20s when I was little. My friend chalks it up to an inability at a young age to project what the future will be like. I dunno.

Glad you are ok. I'm more likely to fall up the stairs than down.

I fell down a flight of stairs when I was at college a few years ago. What happened was that I was on my way down to one of the kitchens in the halls of residence (there were 4), which happened to be in the basement, i was taking a cup back down, i slipped on the top step, and slid down the stairs head first, i managed to stop myself before hitting the wall at the bottom, i managed to get up and walk away without a scratch, the cup didn't survive, i was more careful after that, though I have had some close calls at home recently where i've slipped on the stairs either going up or down but managed to stop myself
