actually I have a BA in Scandinavian Studies. ha! but I was on Swedish major.

and I'm not a builder nor a plumber so I would have a problem scoring a good job up there in Scandinavia anyway

Any good study skills book - just head into your bookshop and have a skim through the books. You could try a search for accelerated learning on Bittorrent too.

I am also glad you are toughing it out. Are you taking advantage of the counseling services the schools have to offer nowadays? My own son has Asperger's and also gets really stressed out and bogged down with depression and anxiety. He sees a psychologist at the university---it has been a great help. Many are aware of their student population on the autism spectrum and they can really help a person make it through the tough times.

I have also moved around a lot in my life and am now at university. I know getting a BA isn't going to improve my life much, but I'm determined to stick it out and get to the end, because for the past three years i don't think i've followed anything all the way through. I've now been at uni for one semester (around three months-although i come home most weekends) and you have no idea how proud this has made me feel! It's not been easy, near damn impossible at times, and i've often been in tears from the frustration of not mixing, not understanding myself and so on. But overall it's helped, and although in a way i'm dreading the next semester, in a way i can't help but say 'Bring it on, i've survived this much!'.

I would stick with it, try to finish something!

I had to defer my exams again this Christmas. I have severe depression and anxiety around my winter exams, yet I'm perfectly capable during my summer exams. My doctor diagnosed me with SAD.

i dont yet have a official diagnose so i cant do that, will probably get it within a few weeks...takes a while it seems.. also i dont like to put too much focus on myself...but i have asked for longer exams time ect...

Sleep problems ... this works for me, though doesn't necessarily work for everyone I suppose.
I eat banana's if I can't sleep (maybe eat two bananas).
Another thing that works is a milo drink make with heaps of milo and milk.

Also melatonin tablets do work --- or a relaxation tape (recorded onto an Ipod).

For anxiety issues I take clonazapam, and venlafaxine.... these medications both treat anxiety and help me to achieve what I need to in life. Not for everyone though I guess.

Eating a diet high in complex carbs, adequate protein and plenty of fruits and vegetables can help towards maintaining a feeling of calm.

Things often seem much bleaker in the middle of the night when you can't sleep.

Hang in there 8)

I am having similar problems; at the start of this quarter in the first week of class I missed two days of three. That week I was sleeping in the day and awake at night, and eating only one meal. Yesterday was the first day I ate three meals, and then today I did the same thing again, going to bed at 11 p.m, sleep at 5 a.m., waking up at 5 p.m. and now it's 3 a.m. I want to pick up melatonin and if that doesn't work I'll need to see a doctor because I end up crying.

This is most probably what I have: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_sl ... e_syndrome
