I'm eighteen, but I feel like I'm six. People have told me I'm like a little kid, always eating sweets and skipping around oblivious to everything. I took it as a compliment. :D I'm a very perverted dirty little six year old at heart. ^_^

That must feel nice Fidget. To feel the innocence of a little kid again.

When I see other people, like actresses or models in magazines, mentally I will often think that I am younger than them, when in actuality, I am most likely several years older than them.

I do not think of myself as a woman even though I am 33, I think of myself as a girl.

I just learned to drive at age 25, and my main reaction so far has been, "I can't believe they're letting a kid like me drive!"

Heh, I seem to be the only one that feels older than my current age. (which is 15.)

Though I suppose that's not very surprising what with all the stress I have, the countless Saturday's I've spent doing nothing but studying, the sleepless nights getting some laste minute studying in for tests, and other things that have happened in the past year or two. :?

I don't think about how young or old I feel until I realize that alot of my younger peers are miles ahead of me socially and maturity wise. Of course nobody, not even myself, really knows how mature I am because I don't put myself in enough situations to gauge it.

I do see what your saying Bataar. Though from what I've seen and heard, older people often tend to complain about being tired, feeling sore, and things of that nature while younger people tend to be more full of energy. So I guess if they say they feel older or younger then they actually are, then they must mean they are less tired, more full of energy, something like that. I'm pretty sure it's a figure of speech.

I feel like my age sometimes (with maturity level), but I still retain my childish mind as well, one of my friends said to me the other day that I seem to look at everything with a child-like innocence and wonder, and that she thought it was my best quality.

What someone said earlier about how the NT brain atropys and the aspie brain doesn't makes perfect sense to me, as it would explain why I seem to be mature like a 20 year old, and yet still be a child in so many ways.

I also think of myself as a girl. Thinking of myself as a woman feels wrong on so many levels. Often I even catch myself describing myself as a kid.

I'm 20, but feel as though I'm between 8 - 12 years old. When I'm around my peers, I feel even younger, about 5. I don't know if that's just my social phobia, or the AS.

Oddly, growing up, I was always complimented by adults on how "mature" I was, because up until age 12, I was mentally older than my physical age, when compared to my peers then. But now, I could easily be called "immature" for my age.

It's as if my mental age and physical age have never been in sync. Sometimes I think this is why I have so much trouble socializing; because my mental age doesn't match my peers' mental ages. It's like trying to have a conversation with someone who's language you don't know a word of, in a way.

I feel like I'm twelve & that's because I'm so lacking in experience as compared to other people my age.

I am 34, but everything about me stopped when I was 12. I am still 5'2" It was like I froze there, until I was 20(when my dad died) and then I very slowly felt like I grew older a little, but not much. I now feel about like 17, and look like it. I always get carded for everything.

I have always felt older than my calendar age.
A good 20+ years older, at least.
My interests, points of view, company, attitudes, habits, are (on average, if one can make such a claim) more characteristic of a person in their 40's than a person in their 20's.

I never felt connected to my peers. But that's no surprise. I always felt better connected to my elders.

I feel old. There's no other way to put it. I feel as if I've lived several lifetimes already.
Yet I also feel a sense of childlike wonder about the world in some cases.
I guess what I experience is some blend of jaded innocence. Aged youth. Hmmm...
