Really, that's extremely unlikely. An Excel spreadsheet can hold quite a lot, though it wouldn't have to become very big before editing it becomes unbearable. Otherwise, the main advantage of using SQL would be possibility of accessing it more conveniently from the web.
Of course Java is the wrong thing to use (it almost always it). A presentation in Powerpoint or Flash would be reasonable for a quick overview, but obviously not for a database.

It is no rhyme. It is intended to be understood as L-eet, which is kind of mixed rebus and phonics.
