I don't know, I might. If it was fairly close.

Media coverage would actually make me less likely to attend.

When we were discussing this on another thread I mentioned that it would have to be arranged that if a person would not want media coverage then they would not have to be in front of TV cameras or anything.

It might be interesting. Large gatherings usually freak me out. But one where everyone is on the spectrum might be very interesting. Not being in the minority would certainly be unique. So basically - I'm pulled in 2 directions.

Thanks for all of your interest on this so far. Let's keep the ball rolling then. Don't think I have abandoned you this weekend since I won't be online. My wife and I are going out of town for a couple days. I will be anxious to read more comments on this.

yeah we should totally organise a "Strictly non-UK and non-US WP convention". there would be like, 4 of us?

just about enough for a bottle of whisky to share and for a game of bridge.

Probably no one on here even knows who I am, but yeah, I'd be interested. I live near New York and I would travel a few hours for something like this.

Oh hell NO! I completely hate and detest name tags.

Hmm, never thought about that, I wouldn't want to have media coverage myself... I would live with it though, as long as I wasn't on camera...

I'd probably come--depending on where it was. A name tag is fine with me, but really I should be able to be picked out from a crowd. I have a beautiful bald head . . .
